In retrospect, barbarian vs. hippie(amazing flight) is my favorite song on part one. Hearing Arjen come in with those groovy guitars as the hippie even though he's a caricature...you just want to hug him. sometimes feel like theres a barbarian and a hippie arguing inside me lol.

Why is Ayreon not known for so many people? If you would introduce that band to a large community of people, then Ayreon could grow larger than Dream Theater would ever be able to!

I live in Memphis Tennessee and I am convinced that I am the only person in the state that knows of Arjen and his work. Sure I blast it through my car speakers to expose people to it,but they just don't understand his genius like we do

Znowu pamiętamy o Atjena fascynacji filmem. Barbardzyńca to Conan. Ponury, małomówny i brutalny. Stąd proponuję parę zmian w jego tłumaczeniu. "Gdyż jestem dumnym barbarzyńskim wojem!" - może po prostu "Gdyż jestem dumnym barbarzyńcą!" - nie zachowujemy rymów, z rytmiką też różnie, a ten "wój" jakoś kłuje w oczy. Przynajmniej mnie. Hipis mógłby być bardziej wyluzowany i stylizowany. Może zamiast: "Hej stary, jesteś taki niemiły Ale hej, to w porządku", dać: "Hej stary, coś taki niefajny, Ale hej, (jest) spoko" - w końcu Hippis jest zjarany, przyjazny i wyluzowany. "(jest)" najchętniej bym wywalił - chyba, ze zależy Ci na rytmice. "Wstrząsałem miastami, murami i wieżami Dewastowałem ulice" - Barbarzyńca raczej nie wstrząsa i nie dewastuje. Może więc: "Trząsłem miast murami i wieżami, na ulicach siałem śmierć" A dalej proponuję bardziej brutalnie i bezpośrednio, zamiast: "Podnieście krwawe sztandary ku płonącym niebom!" - Wznieście krwawe... Wyciągnijcie topory bojowe i miecze!" - "Dobądźcie miecze i topory" Niech bębny chwały zabrzmią jak grom! - "Niech bębny chwały dudnią gromem" Chwała barbarzyńskiemu wodzowi wojennemu!!" - Ze słowem Warlord jest od zawsze problem. Tym razem sugerował bym usunąć "wojennemu".Barbarzyński wódz, który kazał unieść sztandary, bić w bębny i dobyć mieczy i toporów, raczej nie jest Brandonem Budowniczym, ale poprowadzi w bój. :) "Praworządni mężczyźni by mnie powiesili Ale nie wzrusza mnie to Gdyż nie ma nic tak groźnego Jak barbarzyński wódz wojenny" Może by zmienić na: "Praworządni by mnie powiesili dałem im powodów dość Gdyż nie ma nic tak groźnego Jak barbarzyński wojownik" No i mamy jeszcze ostatnie linijki (te niewyraźne): "I'll try to find some women and men" - tego nie jestem pewien. I find this place aspears For a barbarian warlord..." Trudne. Może, skoro wcześniej śpiewał, że wreszcie znalazł królestwo w którym chce się osiedlić i zostać królem z daleka od tych praworzadnych, oraz siadał na koń i wzywał towarzyszy do broni, to: "Poszukam miejscowych kobiet i mężczyzn, To miejsce jest idealne Dla barbarzyńcy-króla" Proszę nie odbieraj tego, że się czepiam. Po prostu ekstra mi się podoba Twój pomysł i ogrom włożonej pracy. Zgłaszam swoje pomysły, a od Ciebie zależy co z tym zrobisz.

Ponownie dziękuję - uwagi stylistyczne były szczególnie przydatne. Nie ze wszystkich prawdopodobnie skorzystam, gdyż chcę pozostać możliwie wierny oryginałowi, ale co najmniej połowę już uwzględniłem.
