the way i look at it the frogs have an invisible game they win by default between the semi finals and the finals, they get to play one game less because even if they lost it it wouldnt matter. that means the shootout is un-neccesary.

The frogs and the cows are supposed to be equal to each other and the frogs wins by luck (or something like that) and so the cows are given another chance at winning It’s to basically ensure that frogs beats cows twice to prove they are better or cow beating frogs Twice to show that their lost was a fluke
