Meh...I believe POC 5 ruined his character. I couldn't bear to watch it. Yes Captain Sparrow is both brilliant and mad, but to portray him as a washed out, depraved drunk completely missed the mark. And the script was slapstick and amateurish...there was none of the intelligence and brilliance of the previous 4.

@@oskarld6772 Well, that could just be flanderization on the part of the higher ups getting lazy with the writing. As for Johnny Depp when the 5th film was being made, he wasn't at his spirit because of problems from his personal life affecting his work.

I really love this trilogy! nd I have nice feelings for On Strander Tides 1 - Great but not perfect 2 - Masterpiece 3 - Masterpiece and my favorite movie in franchise 4 - Okay but I still liked 5 - Worst, meh and unmemorable

4 wasn't bad. It was just lacking in some areas and characters. 5 was just completely out of it. They Completely forgot Jack Sparrows past and made up a new one 💀 Salazar was a good Villan. Barbossa wasn't too bad. But he was back in his Black Pirate Clothes at the end of 4 and in 5 he was in his Royal Navy Uniform 💀
