The Caucasian Albanians (also spelled as Alban, Aghvan, Aghban, and Alpan) were a nation, which, according to the ancient geographer Strabo, consisted of 26 tribes, ethnic groups, such as Albans themselves, as well as Gargars, Udis, etc. Some of them were of Turkic descent, while majority were indigenous authohontous Caucasian tribes, speaking in Caucasian languages.It should be noted that Tomris is a Turkic name, in fact, the name of the she-wolf who according to the myth saved ancient Turks from annihilation.

The best explanation for the Caucasus gives Albaninë historian Robert D'Angely, according to him They were a pelasgians group that had immigrated the cradle of the Balkan ,They stopped in Dagestan (autonomous republic in the Caucasus) because the field looked very much like the terrain of Albanians in Albania, on that day they remain there, but could not maintain the language and identitet Pelasgian.

They were caucasians, nothing to do with Albanians of Albania. Pelasgians aren't the ancestors of Albanians.

The Udis of Azerbaijan are the last of the Caucasian Albanians. Azerbaijan is wise to protect this people, it is your bride to your Albanian past.

It's complicated but the truth is that they are Armenian AND Albanian-Udi at the same time. They are Armenized Albanians.

azerbaijan and albania are two different country and languages. albanians are relative of georgians and azers are turks

Albania (Shqiperia) Is a country in Europe(Balcans) inhabited by ancient people.We got the Name Albania from one of the largest Illyrian tribe called "Albans",the other large tribe being the "Dardans" or todays Kosova(Second Albanian state),we were known internationally by the name of Albanians even though we call our self's Shqiptar(Son of the Eagle) .In ancient times we were known as Illyrians.To the middle ages we were known as Arbanians.We call our self SHQIPTAR and our country SHQIPERIA.

Cmon now dont ignore what the man wrote, he wrote that you use the Q for ch and X for sh just like these languages in caucasian albania and you and them are the only ones who does this. Dont be trying to ignore what he said.

Go read on Caucasian Albania and Azerbaijani historical revisionism, it will explain the myths that Azerbaijani academics teach their people. They replace prominent Armenian political leaders, writers, and historians who lived in karabakh with "Albanians". Also go read on the khatchkar destruction in jugha where Azerbaijan tried to destroy historical Armenian cemeteries to cleanse proof that Armenians lived there.

from advancing hordes of bulgars on the caucasus they escaped to arabia, than, with the turk conquest of europe, they were brought to sicily as good fighters from where they were settled beneath yablanitsa mountain with the aproval of the serb nobles to grow cattle. before 17th ct there were no albanians in the balcans.

Of course there aren´t any, Azeris simply took over a mostly empty land, remaining locals either integrated or killed.

Ok I have no idea what this video is about .. I need to know.. I looked at a historical Atlas to find the proof that Caucasian Albania is true.. couldn't find it.. only in Wikipedia .. not good enough for me I need more information .. is Caucasian Albanian link to the Albanian in the balkans?

@ArmenianKing777 The point your tryin to make is illogical, I refer to historic Armenian land that is in a territorial conflict and you mention southern California? I would prove you wrong but what your saying makes absolutely no sense to me.

My friend hakanjp, don't worry about his comment. Its true what you are telling here, but in Balcan is another country called Albania as well. And our neighbours(I am albanian too), try to make a connection beetwen us. This without having the minimal fact or proof about. So, we are tired with all thiese lies and sick propaganda of theirs, sometimes people get confused. alexanderwotl It seems that none called your country "weird", so "watch your mouth" you can apply to yourself first.

@WhiteLottu Albanians dont relate to any other nation we are different in all aspects , we were the first settlers in balkan we are descendants of pellazgians(illyrians) , bulgars are tatars&mongol tribes they are mixed up , greeks on the other hand claim to be the oldest nation in balcan and in all of europe but in fact , todays greek speak a language that is different of that of the old hellenic , they're skin is dark an they're folklour is mainly a replica of albanian one.

Who says I have hate for your people? Its you guys that seem to say diffrenet things on different videos. In some videos you claim you are Turckic, in others you claim Iranian heritage & yet here youy claim Caucasion Albanian. Some even claim our old Armenian Churches as Azeri..., yet your people destroyed all these churches and monstaries in Nachachivan to hide and destroy Armenian heritage.. Come one, yes we have issues but one must be clear about ones heritage, you cannot be all 3..

You know Greeks are our assimilated brothers.Hellenes alongside Illyrians and Thracians were tribes of the Pellasgian nation.Sadly today's greek have nothing in common with Pellasgians or any ancient european nation.They can't even translate the ancient transcripts with their modern language,they use Albanian to translate the ancient writings,weird huh,makes you wonder. :)

Have you ever heard the original Azeri language, the one still spoken in some old villages without Turkish influnce?? Well I have and it is an old Iranian dialect, Turks raped and destroyed Azeri culture, read about the destruction of Tabriz by the Turks and maybe you will beter understand your own true heritage,

Its not related to Albania in Balkan... its different... caucassian albanians are different ... they live generally in russia caucusus. but in Northern Azerbaijan too:)
