Azerbaijan, the country of fire. A country unknown to most travelers, but with a lot to offer.
After a series of obstacles and impediments from destiny, which did not want to let me enter the country, I manage to land in its peculiar capital, Baku. In this first video of the series, we give a brief overview of its history and its main characteristics, and we prepare to discover, for two weeks, the most spectacular sites within Azerbaijan and the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan, separated from the country by Armenia.
A country that was part of the Silk Road, the Ottoman Empire, the Persian Empire, the Soviet Union, etc. It can only have behind it a fascinating history of conflicts, territorial struggles, rebellions and wars that have led it to what it is today.
Join me in the following weeks on this intense trip, making it today one of the countries that has surprised me the most of the more than 40 that I have visited!
