Aziz Naza (born Abdul Aziz Kunji Markar; 07 May 1938 - 08 October 1992), was a Indian Playback singer, live performer and music director known for his most iconic and unforgettable Chadhta Sooraj Dheere Dheere and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom Sharabi. Widely regarded as the Veteran and one of the greatest qawwali singer. He was gifted with an extraordinary range of vocal abilities. He sang duets alongside playback singers Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Mahendra Kapoor, Asha Bhosle under music directors Madan Mohan (music director), Rajesh Roshan, R. D. Burman, Mohammed Zahur Khayyam, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Kalyanji Anandji, Ravindra Jain.
Naza is one of the most famous Qawwali playback singer in Indian cinema. in the year 1975 his most profound qawwali Jhoom Barabar Jhoom Sharabi has dominated top 10 List of Binaca Geetmala for 20 consecutive weeks. His other notable songs as a playback singer are Hoke Mayoos Tere Dar Se for movie Laila Majnu (1976 film), Qurbani Qurbani title song for Qurbani (film), Bhajan Bina Chain Na Aaye for Rafoo Chakkar Sunle Tu Binati Meri Haji Ali for Nehle Pe Dehla considered as all time hit. Aziz Naza received a special award for the Movie Qurbani (film). He was signed by Gramophone Company of India, India in the early 1960s. Naza has composed musical score for the movie Pyaar Ke Raahi directed by Atma Ram (director)
