I note your comments about belly dance. It was not “invented” for nightclubs. It has its origin in the family and the home, where mothers played with their children. Or, very often, danced them to watering places as if their lives depended on it. (They did.)

hello. Are you talking about women in your family (lucky you!!) or a private performance of Aziza? It's curious your comment because I saw many tv progams where they said that for egyptian people is a shame to have a bellydancer in the family. As european I adore the arabic dance and music and I can't understand this opinion. It will be nice to know the situation from a real egyptian. Finally, I'm sorry for my english mon français est bien meilleur. Thank you

@@bibanelazara how could you only understand the misleading TV shows without thinking where all this art came from, of course i am not talking about private show of aziza, nor a profissional dancer in my family, i am talking about my lady and every girl in Egypt. Its in our culture and in blood, and btw we dance everywhere and i can assure you that every girl in egypt know how to dance better then profissional dancers you've seen.
