Surah Al-Baqarah (Chapter 2), Ayah 155-157: 2:155 "And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient." 2:156 "Who, when disaster strikes them, say, 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.'" 2:157 "Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided." But if you are patient and fear Allah - indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of determination." Surah At-Taghabun (Chapter 64), Ayah 15: 64:15 "Your wealth and your children are but a trial, and Allah has with Him a great reward." Surah Al-Fajr (Chapter 89), Ayah 15-16: 89:15 "And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, 'My Lord has honored me.'" 89:16 "But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, 'My Lord has humiliated me.'"
