Can Top Japanese Students Speak English? Not what you expect!

The familiar buzz of cicadas can only mean one thing - we're in Japan!
We had the privilege of visiting Japan's number 1 university, The University of Tokyo (nicknamed "Todai"), and had an interesting time interviewing students in their main campus.
We wanted to test if the brightest students in Japan could speak English as only the top 1% of students can attend this prestigious school. Again, we were taken back by our findings.

Yusuke was quite interesting, despite his insistence that he's not fluent he can communicate perfectly fine and you can even hear his British accent!

His accent is immaculate although his vocabulary is lacking. I would imagine that he hasn't had enough practice speaking for his vocabulary to become/stay active.

These interview series are very interesting. First interviewee is so cute and looks gorgeous I think she might be grown up in very high society family. I want Kieran to come to one of the high-ranked Universities South Korea. That would be interesting too.

Tokyo university is known as the top university in japan. Oh.. interesting! Maybe english would be one of the most important subjects in japan also. But unlike my expectation, they are not fluent english
