Azovstal defenders reunite with loved ones

This video published by the President's Office shows Ukrainian commanders known for defending Mariupol who were released from Russian captivity during the Sept. 21 prisoner swap as they reunite with their loved ones. They also received the Hero of Ukraine awards from President Volodymyr Zelensky, which were presented by the head of his office, Andriy Yermak.

To all you brave Ukrainian soldiers: may you win this war and return home to be met with your loved ones gazing into your eyes like this girl looks at her father. Let all your righteous grief, hatred, and resentment over what you experienced in war dissolve into that gaze. Allow that moment of love to vanquish your sorrow and become the fuel and compass of the remainder of your days. Collective anger and rage will help you win this war, but only love will help you build a better world than the one taken from you.

I'm so happy and relieved for them. When they went into captivity, I expected the worst outcome. Still in shock that this exchange was allowed to happen. Wishing for those remaining in captivity to have similarly good endings.

@@vuk.505srb no he doesn’t wish that for the Nazis that’s why he wasn’t talking about Russia. FUN FACT: Russia is the worlds biggest fascist state. Every year there are many political killings. Many journalists killed as well. PMC Wagner is literally full of Nazis, rapists, killers, pedophiles and the Russians love them and can’t get enough of them. Russia is literally a mafia state where the top 1% rob and pillage the country’s financial institutions and rob the average Russian blindly. But the Russians are more concerned with Ukraine wanting to join the EU and NATO to create a better future for itself. Instead of worrying about themselves and working on their internal problems the Russians prefer to just drag all of their neighbours down to their level. Disgusting.
