Many thanks for this useful comparison, as I have been trying to choose between the M350 and M350s Pebble mice. In the end I have gone with the original model - based on i) value for money, and ii) my legacy equipment. Today the M350 is available on Black Friday offer in the UK at £15.99, whereas the M350s is not discounted. As you mentioned the M350 comes with a built-in USB dongle - providing additional connectivity options (for some of my older gear). Although I could upgrade the M350s to USB connectivity with the Bolt USB receiver - that is currently almost as expensive as buying the M350 ! Provided that the performance and ergonomics of the M350 is good, I am likely to buy the M350s & K380s combo next year - once the M3 mac mini comes out...

i find the only substantial difference is compatibility with logi bolt. Logi bolt is explained as a lower layer type connection than bluetooth, implying that this connection activates faster on boot, meaning this keyboard will work in bios. Having the older model, It was frustrating to require a wired keyboard in order to switch OS on boot or change settings in bios, or simply when bluetooth turns off and you have no way of doing actions on desktop.

the k380s goes into sleep too fast and it means that 5 to 10 seconds after u stop writing it goes into sleep mode when u want to type again u gotta wait some seconds to wake up and that supersucks, no other feature matters cos the main idea of this keyboard is to be able to write!

are you working on Windows? I believe this problem is related to the set power plan. If one is set to power preservation, Windows may turn off supplementary services (like bluetooth). It is solved once the power plan is set to performance and it is detailed to never turn off bluetooth. Works like a charm after those actions.

You should've included how both the old and the new keyboard/mouse are being sold on the market right now. While the newer "S" versions have great features, they're expensive. The older gen are on sale in my country for half of that of the new ones. Hence if you're not looking into the best features and just a portable keys/mouse for cheap, the older gen is still a great choice.

M350 works with the unifying receiver instead (unifying receiver is one generation older than the bolt receiver and also less secure). K380s seems to lack the "overview mode" key for ChromeOS, usually placed at F5 on other keyboards.

Layout is a little changed. Look at the enter key. It's changed. The blue color is new as well.

M350 can be connected to its own adapter or it can be also paired with Logitech Unifying adapter (orange star)

M350 is the old Pebble with its own adapter. M350s is the new Pebble that can be connected to Logi Bolt Dongle

I have an older vs of the k380 and the keys are quite... glossy (as in shiny(oily because of typing so much) - has that issue been solved? Is the key material different?

I've recently purchased mac desktop computer and the seller provided me with some very crappy, cheap bluetooth keyboard (without any portable reciever). The problem is that everytime I turn on my computer, I have to wait until the device is paired and bluetooth window closes itself (I hope you know what I mean). Does any of these Logitech keyboards have the same problem, or I can just use them instantly after logging in? Thanks for help!

hi! I dont have a mac but i use the k380 with my laptop and ipad. It takes like maybe a second or 2 to connet to the device they are fast however switching between the devices takes a little longer like maybe 3-5 seconds cuz it disconnects from one and connects to the other but otherwise super fast. It will remember the device so for e.g. my ipad is number 1 on the keyboard and number 2 is my laptop so the moment I turn it on and press 2 it connects to my laptop easily. hope this helps!

hii quick question just to verify cuz I'm paranoid:)) if the keyboard I want to buy is named "Logitech K380 for Mac" does it mean that it functions like Mac's keyboard but can be connected to any device, or it connects only to apple devices?? I used Mac products for years and im just used to the keys set up, that's why I'm asking I would appreciate any answer (⌒▽⌒)

Any devices from windows to android, you might need little time to get used to the keys but overall, works like a charm! I've been using it for nearly 5 years.
