So Azshara has been confirmed to return, everyone knows this but what most have missed from the prophecy is that she is coming back as something entirely different. The document stated that when Xal'atath fullfils the prophecy and completes the awakening the Queen is going to return to reign over the sea, sky and earth! Azshara is not really a naga, she is originally an elf that was transformed into this form by N'Zoth.
She has since abandoned him and is right now in the void realm serving the Void Lords directly. They are planning to use her in Midnight during the invasion and when she comes back we can expect something entirely different. The elves are reuniting and some naga might even join us and potentially become playable but almost certainly Azshara is going to be a villain that we might not even recognize when she gets empowered!

I think her new form would probably be very similar to her original form. For all her lust for power, Azshara was also vain so I would imagine she's not going to pick another monstrous form.

Could you imagine "God King Lord of all Realms HOGGER" it would honestly be something that brings life into the game for them to do april fools dungeons or raids like be a nice event. Every year just pick some random fan fic and make it happen dont worry about tuning it right because its just for fun. Give gag gear that can be used for xmogs basically and thats about it lol

Right. I wish they’d update the models into something more aligned with the Lovecraft lore like the Old Gods are. The way they describe how powerful, big & bad they are and then it’s just the Voidwalker model with a couple lanterns hanging off it. Doesn’t do much to inspire fear in me

I would argue the bit of reigning over sea, sky and earth refers to Azeroth rather then Azshara since it was mentioned that Azeroth is elemental in nature.

Great video, I liked it a lot. Off topic, but thinking about Shadow Lands, I think it'd be interesting if the Devourers that were breaking into the Shadow Lands, weren't simply mindless drones that happened to leak into the Shadow Lands, but were actually tools of the Void Lord, used to devour other lands, collect their energies and take it back to the Void Lords to power their machines of war like a walking self charging battery. Either way, time will tell, and Blizzard has to do something with them eventually.

Shadowlands left behind some great conepts, not only devouerers but I think Zereth Mortis like Zereth Ordus will be very relevant in near future aswell, as will the First ones.

They’ll end up getting a “nerfed” form. Like the naga that “defect” will devolve to more human like features. Because they are rejecting the power now before they had no choice really

Given the bodies they're giving to Nerubians and Dragonkin for us to play, a more humanoid Naga look could mean that the Naga would become playable.

We get skinny human-looking dracthyr. We're getting skinny looking Nerubians. It stands to reason we'd get some watered down version of a Naga as well.

If they are doing goblin stuff in The War Within, I would like to see goblins become a neutral race as its stupid that they are only playable in the Horde when there are still so many goblins that are still neutral! I just want to play goblin in the Alliance, is that so hard? Also if naga become playable, great, however I doubt they will let us keep their majestic fishy forms.

Cool, azsharas story has always been intresting to me. She can be a compassionate leader (if you listen to her lol) but also a complete tyrant, with her world views and knowledge growing of everything going on her return feels inevitable. Azsharas story is one i welcome with open tentacles.

A thing that nobody is talking about and they will continue with the rumor that the Old Gods stopped doing Void Lords will and started doing their own thing. We clearly seen Azshara taken by N'zoth, so now she is returning from somewhere between the stars, so Cosmic Void. So how in the world people are saying that the Old Gods stopped doing their Void Lords masters if we seen that scene? So N'zoth opened a void portal and took her and now she is coming from the cosmic Void?

The way I see it, Azshara is basically like Kerrigan from Starcraft II. I think the whole sea, sky, and earth thing more just means that she is ascending to a more god-like position (aka having control over everything) and I think that is because Xal'atath is going to merge her with Azeroth now that Azshara's form is more voidlike and malleable. It's like when Kerrigan became primal zerg. Dimensius I think was a failed arrival because his form was not a good fit to come out of the void but Azshara can fluidly go between.

Well Dorons, if we follow prophecies why not follow the one where literally N'zoth and ll'gynoth have been telling us all way from legion to dragonflight Nzoth last whispers that the Azeroth's calling to us is THE Void song, and that we will follow "her call to help" and we will actually follow "HIM" instead in the deep places of Azeroth... I dont think this gets much attention at all, only few content creators got ahold of this, that all this that Blizzard is showing us Azeroth is calling to us, is actually the start of chain reaction and deceiving us to think that way.
