While Azumah Nelson is remembered as an all time great and a brilliant swarmer/pressure fighter, his defense was also an excellent addition to his skill set. The Professor had a wide array of defensive moves that helped him in defeating some of the greatest fighters of his era. Truly one of the all time greats at 126/130 lbs and arguably Africa's greatest boxer ever! www.patreon.com/haNZAgod

Azumah definitely was a come-forward fighter who swarmed his opponents with pressure and punches, he was also a brilliant and dangerous counterpuncher.

Would love to see “Kid Gavilán: Beautiful Jab and Explosive Lead Hooks.” If I’m not mistaken, it’s been a few years since your last Gavilán highlight, and his style makes his film is easy to go through -even Gavilán’s lateral movement and pure boxing is exciting to see. Besides that, a (all-in-one) tribute to the French Middleweight contenders of the 1950’s would be a fun video to make. Pierre Langlois had a pretty violent fight with Giardello, Marcel Pigou finished Lausse (film is in horrible quality), and I believe Charles Humez has a couple of finishes on KZfaq. Not enough film of any of them to make an individual highlight, but probably enough combined to make a highlight out of it. Either way, thank you for all work mate.

Bro I was jus thinkin this. This dude literally used bout 3-4 different styles and looked impeccable in all. He’s the closet thing to Henry Armstrong I’ve ever seen. He’s a mix of Armstrong, Archie Moore and even a lil bit of D’Amato peek a boo and shifts. This dude is amazing

Fun fact: Roy Jones Jr. is sometimes credited as the only fighter in CompuBox history to go an entire round without letting his opponent land a single punch, when in the 4th round against Vinny Pazienza, Vinny went 0/5 in total punches (0/4 jabs and 0/1 power punches). HOWEVER, if you were to look up Azumah Nelson’s fight against Wilfredo Gomez, CompuBox shows that Gomez landed 0/40 shots against Nelson in the 1st round!! Gomez was 0/10 for power punches and 0/30 for jabs!!
@UntouchableBreakdowns
@UntouchableBreakdowns 2 жыл бұрын
Compubox gets things wrong a lot so sometimes it can add a punch or few without anything landing. Not saying in this case particularly as Nelson did go a round without being hit, in fact many fighters do sometimes. Roy is another popular name so he 100% isn’t the only go to do it, not by a long shot as there’s been many. Thank you for this information 🤝
