In Southport town court in Elmira NY STEVEN T MILFORD ignores video fact to keep his sheriff's from crying in court

Hi there, I received an excessive speeding ticket today when overtaking a slower vehicle on the highway. I've been driving for 46 years and it's the biggest flub on my driving record. I realize ICBC will fine me $320. per year for 3 years but that's all the information about ICBC that I've been able to find. Are there other potential penalties, fines or even possible suspensions that our monopolized auto insurance company may decide to add? I am thinking about fighting this ticket as the officer said I touched 140 km/hr. in a 90 during my overtaking. I run my speedo in digital mode which gives the exact speed in big digital numbers. When I saw the officers lights I immediately looked and saw 128km/hr which is speeding but not excessively. There's one thing I'd like to run by you and that is can I contact the officer that wrote me up the ticket and tell him I'm willing to accept a regular ticket. The only reason I'm asking is because once the tow truck took my truck he said he would wait for my daughter to arrive to pick me up. We were very cordial to each other and had a 15 to 20 minute chat. We know a lot of the same people etc. When I got out of his car he said that it's to bad we couldn't have met on better circumstances and even told my daughter to go easy on me as a joke. Is contacting the officer allowed or can he not change his decision if the paperwork has been completed? If I can speak to him I will mention to the officer that due to ICBC add-ons I pretty much have to fight the ticket. Would be great to hear your opinion.
