That's true but as I said in the video it's best to stay away from the serrated blade.

It is easy to maintain but the wear resistance is lacking compared to higher end steels.

Victorinox uses 1.4110 steel aka X55CrMo14. In my opinion it is relatively easy to sharpen because it is hardened at 56 HRC while most of my other knives are around 59-61 HRC.

I also found them hard to sharpen. Then I tried a sharpening stone instead of a sponge and all of a sudden it was easy.

The term is commonly used to describe a knife category (e.g. bushcraft knives, survival knives ... swiss army knives) and does not necessarily refer to a brand. Boker has their own traditional multitool knife dating back to the 19th century but most people have probably never heard about the Boker Sportsmesser while the term Swiss Army Knife is globaly known.

The vast majority of Victorinox models have never been and will never be issued to the Swiss army but I would still categorized them as Swiss Army Knives. One Victorinox model was issued to the German Bundeswehr. Should it be called the German Army Knife then? It is just a label for a category. Nothing else.

I don't Know why you are so upset about a category label. When a product becomes so iconic like the SAK and many others copy that type of product then the whole product category will commonly be named after the original (e.g. in my country Jeep stands for all offroad cars). In the case of SAKs it is not even the original label. I remember when I got my first SAK over 30 years ago it was called Schweizer Offiziersmesser. In Switzerland it was just Offiziersmesser afaik. The term Swiss army knife became popular and was adopted by Victorinox themselves. Nowadays they call themselves "Maker of the original Swiss army knife" to distinguish them from the other manufacturers. However, Boker does have some credibility unlike other makers because their original Sportmesser was introduced around the same time as the first SAK. Oh, btw, the knife that I refered to earlier is called the Soldatenmesser (Soldier's knife) or Bundeswehrmesser.
