The mother of the juvenile delinquent turning up at the cop's flat to "congratulate" him takes the cake at audacity. I would have called the police on her immediately, or else have the other policeman in the room arrest him immediately for illegal entry and trespassing. I would also have my attorney file for a restraining order against her. She is bad news central. Also, only if you get coinvicted of murder would it be true that you killed somebody. If you were found not guilty, then you did not do it. In this case, the charge was only manslaughter, and the cop was exonerated. Lady, back to law school with you and your gibberish about killing this and killing that.

2 shots are audible but they didn't seem to come from his gun. I saw him aim, call out to stop or I'll shoot, then he shot and killed the kid. I did not see him raise the gun and fire into the air. I think when they're not sure who they are shooting at they should not shoot to kill-- he could have aimed low - there's a big difference between someone's back and their feet. Hitting him low down would have been sufficient. Especially if it's a suspected robbery. No material thing is worth killing over.

Excellent upload and the film really picks up after the trial as Chris Warfield starts his personal investigation. Like most works of "fiction," "Incident In An Alley" had real-life analogs, "ripped from the headlines," news stories that may, or may not, have been read by Rod Serling, Harry Medford, and Orville Hampton. Here's a post that has those (possible) real-life inspirations, or at the very least, real-life incidents that were similar to what is portrayed in this movie. kzfaq.info/love/o-_jgIaiBczgPc4_AMfY_Acommunity?lb=Ugkx9nE6r4CnJhsYX-gluHxzvdIWWYwK6Cpd The incidents include: 1, News clipping photo of the family of officer Michael Moretti, on trial for the shooting of 15-year-old Arthur Gamino. The clipping is from December 12, 1951, and is not too dissimilar from what is shown in the movie. 2. January 7, 1958 coverage of the shooting of patrolmen James Caruso by 19-year-old Andrew Gannites during an attempted auto theft. 3. January 9, 1958 coverage of the case involving brothers Nyals Andreason and brother Aaron, ages 16 and 14 years-old respectively, and their participation in 10 robberies and the murder of a liquor store clerk in Norwalk, CA. (Bobby Fox and Michael Vandever played teen brothers involved in a robbery gang in “Incident In An Alley.”) The Andreason brothers came from an upper-middle-class family and their father was actually a school principal! 4. First page of a February 18, 1956 news story which showed a news photo of mother Rosa Hernandez, in her pain, embracing her 17-year-old son Charles Cowan, as her teenage son admitted to participating in a robbery and murder of liquor store owner Sergie Markarian. Cowan was a member of the infamous White Fence Gang and naturally, mother Hernandez “couldn’t believe” her “boy” would do such a thing, just like Virginia Christine’s character in “Incident In An Alley.” 5. July 31, 1957 coverage of the trial of teen robbery gang leader Paul Ray Councilman, 16-years-old, who (just like Gary Judis’ character in “Incident In An Alley”) had no compunction about shooting adult victims during robberies, in this case, 60-year-old Al Jennings. I'll definitely recommend this movie. ;-)

You know with todays prices on instruments you could have afforded an alarm on the back door. It would have saved time if you just pushed the door in seeing as it had a simple clasp on it like I had on my rabbit cage when I was a boy. Oh and lets just leave the front door open officers while you drive off to try and find these hooligans... lol. I get it, low budget shows so why try. It's not called a B-Movie for nothing. Each boy most likely got $10 for their part in the movie.

Yeah, ever since the police were issued guns, all the way up to the 80's when the Supreme court made it law that an officer could not shoot at a fleeing suspect, many times especially black people were shot and killed just for fleeing. Brought out even in story as in, "To KIll A Mockingbird". We've seen it time an again in many of these gangster movies. Here, the cop gets off..........again, but we don't see the officer getting sued by the family. And even when this movie was made there was no police union or QI to interfere with a citizens ability to sue an officer for wrong doing. I wonder what the sentiment was upon theater goers when the saw this movie. They probably just rooted for that same officer because he ends up helping a remorseful delinquent and then "taking care" of some other ones with more violence. Yeah, yeah, the kids wee trying to shoot him but still, this officer was already in hot water for murdering a kid using ridiculously over the top unnecessary police force.
