@Amazingbabyxx - Ronald Foster is awesome! So underrated. Big fan of his work. That's so cool he was your grandpa! He was in the scariest "OUTER LIMITS" episode entitled "The Mice" and I was about 4 years old in January of 1964 when that episode first aired and Ron's death scene at the lake shore by that hideous "scum" monster sent me fleeing behind the couch it was that horrifying. I also recently binge watched "Highway Patrol" featuring Ron and he really was a great addition to the cast. He was also excellent in that classic "Twilight Zone" episode "The 7th Is Made Up of Phantoms". Saw him in "Combat", "Adam 12" and all the classic TV shows of the 1950s, 1960s & 70s. Handsome, excellent leading man as well as supporting roles. I love his starring turns in 'Cage of Evil", "House of the Damned" & "The Music Box Kid" and am looking forward to seeing more of his starring roles thanks to Rob and his great KZfaq channel. Wish I had a chance to meet him. I wonder if he did any of the conventions.

Edward L. Cahn was a prolific director. He made Little Rascals/ Our Gang shorts and many well known sci Fi and horror films for American International. I think his last feature was a version of Beauty and the Beast starring Mark Damon as the beast in 1963. Thanks for this !

Edward L. Cahn is an underrated director. He really got the most out of very tight budgets and short shooting schedules. His work holds up.

My most favourite band, Faster Pussycat led by Taime Downey, from the ,1980's Glam metal hair band scene, took their band name from this very Russ Meyer film album called Faster Pussycat, Kill! Kill!! Gotta watch this classic tie in movie.

Any flick with an actor named Johnny Seven HAS to be good. Imagine Leonardo DiCaprio going by Leo Six? He might have gone somewhere instead of being a nobody.

I guess B movie is another way of saying low budget. The sets were simple and straight forward, no bells and whistles. This didn't take anything away from the stories and the acting, which was very good, although some verged on comedy, Chesty Miller for one, enjoyable never-the-less. These movies are always entertaining and that's what counts in the end. I do like Ron Foster, he definitely commands the screen. Keep up the good work Rob.

Unlike the dancing in clubs and such, today, where just about any attempt at gyrating to the music is considered 'dancing', it took some skill and technique to do the Charleston. Looks like it, anyway. 🤪

I don't know why certain films are termed as 'B' movies. This gangster film based in the Bronx, New York in the roaring 20's dealing with illicit liquor may have been made on a shoe-string budget. But, the end result is top-rated entertainment and this elevation gives it the added stature of being a bona-fide film noir. Ron Foste [who was actually 30 at the time] plays a 21-year old neophyte gangster, willing to undertake any killing for a price. His greed for money and power were so strong that he became over-confident and lost all logic, throwing discretion to the winds. Even the parish priest and his pretty young wife [portrayed effectively by the lovely, Luana Patten] couldn't drive sense into him to see the futility of his actions. No matter what heist he committed, the huge sums of money all seemed like chicken-feed. He wanted more ! No matter who [the cops or other mafia groups] tried to get him, he outsmarted them and managed to get them first. His meteoric rise with little or no struggle eventually caused his death. His lovely wife, who was privy to his plans, knew what his fate would eventually be and the information about his next killing was divulged to the priest by her. He is eventually gunned down in a hotel lobby. Ron Foster is quite believable in the part of the hoodlum in a suit; Luana Patten gives a stirring performance as the newly married pregnant wife, torn between loyalty to her husband and the priest's advice. This is truly a gangster-gem. PS: I loved Luana Paten because she reminded me so much of my lovely, Lisa Gaye. She too had green eyes, brown hair and that rare widow's peak that was so synonymous with Lisa.

Thank you for your insightful, well-written commentary! Pretty Luana Patten was a child star in Disney classics 'Song of the South' and 'So Dear to My Heart' but never quite made the transition to adult stardom despite good performances in this film and a handful of others before retiring from show biz. Sadly, she passed away at 57 from respiratory failure.

@@robtw88 Rob, its always a pleasure to send a feedback to a film or TV show that I enjoy. Yes, I did learn earlier about poor Luana's untimely death. I didn't get to see her in films when she was a child, but I enjoyed her performances in Rock pretty baby, The Restless Years, Home from the hill and Go naked in the world. Rob, would you by any chance have some good quality TV episodes featuring my top-fave, Lisa Gaye that could be uploaded on KZfaq. I would love to see her in the 77 Sunset Strip episode: The Lovely American [S-4 E-33]. Do please drop me a line in case you have anything at all on Lisa that could be uploaded on KZfaq. My very best to you!!

A movie ticket would give you two movies (one was the main attraction) and maybe a short news reel, cartoon and "coming attractions". There were also SERIAL movies that would have a "cliff hanger" every 8 or 9 minutes.... and you had to come back the next Saturday to see the marvelous "save"...and then another peril eight minutes later.

Imagine what they would think of today's dancing! Imlike it, except for the crotch grabbing that Michael Jackson used to do. I'm so glad that since then it faded back out again. Most of what they do now is very cool. I wish I could do it!
