Sounds like the problem I’m having. Tonearm touches down and then returns home.

@@dgoldfar ...I got it to stay and Play....however the tracking is off and needs some work.

It’s been kind of in and out for a while for me, sometimes working when I manually cue the tonearm, sometimes not. Fortunately these aren’t particularly expensive these days. I found another one pretty cheap on eBay, allegedly in working order, so if all’s well, the hand-me-down I have from my parents will become a source for parts. I upgraded the cartridge to an MMC1, and it really sounds good when it’s working.

I don't have a schematic diagram or service manual showing me how to test the control board. The board is composed of IC and other components. Some of the parts may be unavailable and hard to find. So the easiest way to solve the problem is just replacing the control board.

On the control board there are two speed adjusters. 2R44 for 33rpm and 2R43 for 45rpm. you just need a small screwdriver.

@@VintageAudioFan The music has all the charm of being put on hold on the telephone help support line, repetitive to the point of being annoying, and getting to hang-up. Go check out sources of copyright free recordings on Internet Archive. Silence or the sound of ocean waves would be an improvement. Not to demean the talent of the artist you played, but no imagination, goes nowhere, minimalist, frankly it detracts from your excellent video.
