今時今日嘅保時捷撈到風生水起，2021年全球售出超過30萬部車，以一間專門製造跑車嘅車廠嚟計絕對係一大創舉。不過原來係30年前，保時捷曾經試過一年僅僅賣到14,000部車，年虧損過億美元。當年嘅保時捷面對住咁重大嘅危機，自不然要套用「工商管理101法則」－開源節流。
首先「開源」就係要開拓新市場，所以佢哋喺1996年就推出咗986 Boxster，以攻打當年火紅嘅Roadster跑車市場。第二，「節流」就係要降低生產成本，所以先會衍生出986同996身上嘅「煎蛋頭燈」，以及Boxster／911共用眼耳口鼻同內籠嘅現象。當然呢兩部生於「救亡時期」嘅90後保時捷，最終都不負眾望成為咗當其時史上銷量最好嘅保時捷，亦成功將處於水深火熱嘅保時捷挽救起來。
不過事隔接近25年，呢兩部保時捷係咪只係窮得只剩下「舊時」？實際上又係咪一部值得收藏嘅保時捷？

可能我揸得吾夠深入，感覺996 tiptronic同一般動力流失得好勁既torque converter 波箱無大分別，同埋最奇怪部車用D波行係program左2波起步，感覺上即係同4前速無大分別

自動波left foot brake就得啦，邊駛heel toe㗎？要做heel toe嘅原因係2隻腳冇辦法控制3個踏板，所以先要用右腳做兩樣嘢。但係自動波得兩個踏板，用left foot brake就完全能夠做出heel toe嘅效果。

can you guys explain more on how to heel toe or rev match in tiptronic transmission?

Basically you just treat it like a Manual Box, but you must get used to the shifting rhythm of the Tiptronic box as it can be a bit dim witted sometimes. Perhaps it is easiest to downshift with a small amount of throttle input to iron out the rev difference.

@tutu as far as I understand (regardless the horsepower) remember 996 is intended to be a "sedan"-like coupe for commuting while 986 is intended for a sporty "roadster"-style yet being able to commuting and that explains their differences in driving position 4'50" and the driving setup, IMHO. 恕晚輩班門弄斧

I understand what you meant. However cars like the 996 is usually called GT (grand tourer), comfortable sports car that can do long trips. “Sedan-like” coupe would be something like a BMW 4-Series.
