Weight badhane par, beam ki bending badhati hai (depression ka badhana swabhavik hai). Thus, spherometer reading changes naturally. Try to understand. Thank you.

@@bhimaurya It depends upon the setting of the spherometer. If it is increasing mode, it will increase accordingly. No problem. You have to check it in your laboratory. Otherwise, you discuss with your professor.

Good afternoon sir Animesh Das UID: A20BSM1214 I've watched the full video and understood the concept of this experiment very well I have two questions sir, Can we take mean of all depression and use value of M= 0.5 kilogram taking the reading with hanger as zero kilogram ?? Sir don't we have to subtract the value of reading at Zero kilogram from other readings to get the correct depression for different weights ??

No, as you think. But, with the change of mass, the condition becomes different. Only at the same settings if the observations are repeated, the mean values are to be taken. Thank you for thinking on the subject.

Dear student, No need to make a video for graph. You can see the formula used in the experiment that l, b, d for the given beam are constant and M is directly proportional to the values of obtained values of delta in the experiment. By ploting M values at x-axis and the corresponding delta values at you-axis, a straight line will be obtained. The slope of this line may be used in calculating the value of 'Y'. If you have still any doubt, you ask to me.
