I am a huge fan of B&T and wanted to grab the GHM9 but heard a lot of failures and issues with those grasshopper models. This APC9 and TP9 are next on my list as they are far more reliable but also way more expensive.

I'm about 2k rounds on mine of mixed ball and hollowpoints and I've yet to have a failure. It is the glock lower version so I don't know if that helps over the b&t mags.

@@Willis2515 I think the Glock lower is way more reliable based on all the reviews. Maybe I'll give it a try. The magazine does look worse than the regular model but with a front grip mod I think it can balance it out.

Most government agencies are using the Glock lower version which makes sense, Glock style hand guns, Glock lower FA apc9K for border patrol/customs.

Never had an issue with my GHM9 with either the B&T or glock mag lower.

Does the 300 have any gas adjustment? Probably would get that 300 if the ATF isn’t posing brace rules 😢.

Did you lube the stock rails? Mine is INSANELY difficult to rip open. To the point that the entire stock flexes when I pull it. And ripping it open is really the only option, unless you were born with three hands. Why they designed it with the lock buttons not on the sliding portion is just bewildering.

I think the atf is concerned the ruling will be overturned and they are making the amnesty think free to avoid refunding thousands of dollars back to people.

How does this compare to the CMMG Dissent for shooting? Looks like the sizes are pretty similar and both north of $2k

Their main differences are in internal design and operation. CMMG Dissent is a DI gun. it as a modified buffer that sit inside the upper. The APC is a piston gun with rotating bolt. I opted for the APC 300 Pro over the dissent for this reason. I like piston guns.

Can you fire the APC9 Custom Smith Manufacturing Tail hook FOLDED? Or does the brace block the ejection port?

I have the APC 9 and had a GHM 9 also with the glock lower. Awesome products expect for those OEM mags ! They just suck....they’ll cut your fingers if you’re not careful when loading them, they look really flimsy and we have a history of those breaking when dropped. The hold open plastic piece on those mags look like a toy from the dollar store. The bottom needs to be protected with a rubber pad that has to be purchased separately. B&T need to get their shit together given what they charge for these firearms. Just copy the Glock concept when it comes to mags. Also, am I the only one who really like the original B&T stock ? It’s sturdy and extremely well built. This new stock is cool but it’s more appropriate for the APC 223 with the longer barrel.

Agreed the mags are frustrating. We sell KCI mags and the B&T mags with the rubber numbers on bottom.
