Thank you for this video! At 8:07 in the video you solved my problem installing a telescoping tailhook brace on a APC45 PRO I received today. I could not do it; then I noticed you had fully extended the telescopic brace. When I did that, it went on and my problem solved. No other KZfaq video covered this issue. The lack of a user manual or other instructions leave new buyers seeking guidance from others on KZfaq. Thank you again.

I really like it too. I want to buy the B&T lower when it is back in stock. BTW The Glock lower has zero feeding problem so far.

I really prefer the Glock mags, they are much more durable than the B&T. I also use Glock pistols, so it is a great value to share the magazines between the two weapons platforms.

I also tried SIG version. The SIG version has flaws. I think Glock version is the best overall

I thought about that. But this is my home defense gun. I prefer the higher reliability. So I did not do it. But I may install a binary trigger on my other PPC. I will take videos for my KP9 and SP5 soon.

You are welcome. The stock did wear the receiver a little even the tip is plastic. Just very light mark. You won’t notice unless you look closely

My question is why don’t they sell that brace assembly without the buffer system ?? it would be so much cheaper being we are already supplied one with the purchase of the firearm… B&t sells the buffer system alone for around $250

SBA version is using the original buffer which is under $200. I don’t know why B&T does this either. I guess B&T just want to save time for military for swapping the adapter with buffer. That’s why B&T just pack them together.

Can you please give the dimensions(length) with the brace fully compressed/collapsed, and also fully deployed/extended to its full length. I’d really appreciate it. I’m trying to decide between this and the tommybuilt brace,and want to make sure it fits in a bag I have.

Full length 14.15 inches and 21.15 inches. The arm length from the end plate: 8.7 inches. My APC9 model is the “k” version and I have the tailhook. If you have a stock and non-k, your length will be different.

No. it is a tailhook. Not designed to use with shoulder. However ATF is changing the rules now. Please leave comment to against it. www.atf.gov/rules-and-regulations/factoring-criteria-firearms-attached-stabilizing-braces

Hmmmm. Too close for comfort. I think 13.5 is the limit before it becomes an sbr. I still. Like your set up.

@@rooftopgunguy I have a Kriss vector 9mm and a cmmg banshee also. Can’t wait for the B&T tho. Ordered it today. Also ordered the sliding stock like u have. That was over 600 bucks. Unreal.

@@rooftopgunguy I haven’t had any issues yet w the stock trigger. I shoot a lot but a trigger is still a trigger to me. Maybe I’ll try one and see. Check my videos. I have some shooting my banshee suppressed and shooting my sons 22lr vector suppressed

How does the Tailhook Mod 1C work? Is it better than the original version?

In the US, we cannot use the original version (stock) without SBR application and the $200 tax stamp. With the tailhook, it is not supposed to put it on shoulder. By opening the tailhook, the tailhook will give your extra support with your forearm. Also tailhook does not have butt pad, it is not better than original version. However if your shoot the gun with one hand, tailhook is better in this case

@@rooftopgunguy Yup. I meant how about the compact version brace compared to the original Tailhook Mod 1 (regular size, without C).

@@AsternMoon original version is bigger. I like it smaller and shorter because it looks closer to the b&t stock. (H&K MP5 stock is also shorter too) I am an Asian. My forearm is small. So the mod C is working good for me as a “tailhook “. If your forearm is big and muscular , you may need to choose the original version instead
