They had quite a few and given that they only allow people slot wise I don’t think you would have problem getting a locker.

Hey YES you do get locker facility at the VAC biometric centre but not at the interview centre.

Hi! As far as I am aware senior citizens need not appear for interviews but have to be there for biometric. But please check on the ustraveldocs website as I am not very familiar with the process for elderly.

For B1/B2 you can wear casuals.. we had worn jeans and a normal T-shirt. Just be comfortable 😊

Hi if we fill the new DS 160 form and take the confirmation to the biometrics will they automatically update the confirmation or do we need to request for an update. And the other question was will there be any translator for the regional language for the bio-metrics.

Hey! They’ll scan the code on your DS-160 at the centre so you don’t have to inform them anything separately. I didn’t see translators at the biometric centre but I guess you shouldn’t have a problem finding someone who speaks your language as they are not Americans but Indian officials. Also you only have to tell them your name and date of birth for the process. Rest is biometric and photo capture

First we need to fix appointment for biometrics and only after that can we schedule for interview? Can both be scheduled simultaneously or it needs to be done one after the other? How much gap can be between both the dates

On the website you need to book appointment for both biometric & interview together. - First your biometric happens and then your interview. - There needs to be ATLEAST a 1-day gap between the two dates.

Slots open for difficulty cities and you can pick the city you want if they have slots

Ohh while you can keep checking on your own if it’s urgent you can contact a visa agent who help you book slots (but they charge exorbitant amount). Also there are paid telegram groups available that notify as soon as new slots open

Do you know if you can request your passport to be returned back to you and whether the embassy will entertain this request if your visa is in administrative processing status? I have a trip planned to another country within a month from the US Visa interview date.

Hey! As far as I am aware this is not entertained once the passports are submitted. But anyways they are quite quick with the processing and you’ll easily get your passport back within a week or so!

Need one clarification. In the DS160 form first name, middle name and last name is there but in appointment letter its just first name and last name, will this create any issue.. ofc date 7th Sep

There is no locker facility at the interview consulate in Chennai atleast.

by same document you mean the Stickered passport, Appt confirmation page, DS-160 confirmation and additionally all the supporting documents for consular interview right?? just want to clarify coz you dint mention supporting documents of b1/b2 visa is needed for biometric appt. and also don't we need to bring our own photo of 2x2 format for any appt ?? PLEASE CLARIFY

By same documents I do mean the stickered passport, Appt confirmation page & DS 160. All other documents are supporting documents and not mandatory. You can choose to carry them as supporting docs. We didn’t have to submit any 2x2 pics. So no need to carry.

Our interview was on 11th May in Chennai & our Passport(& visa) was delivered on 13th May to Bangalore.

Hi. My parents visited today for their Biometrics in Chennai, they also got a sticker on their passports but it only has the bar code and today's date i.e 27th March 9 am. Nothing was mentioned about the interview date in the sticker as explained in the video. What does it mean?

Our biometric was on 30th April. Interview on 11th May. Both processes in Chennai. We had booked our slots on 27th April. Received our passport by courier on 13th May in Bangalore.

We did carry our educational certificates including marksheets just in case they ask for it. But they didn’t ask for anything! Lot of people I know also weren’t asked but always good to carry extra documents to be safe!

Mam please answer my question , I really need your help. 1). I have OFC on 16th Oct and interview on 19th Oct , what is the nearest good hotel to stay ? 2). During biometric, I wear hair wig/patch on head. do i need to remove that ? As the pasting is done so hard and it cannot be removed . I am ready to have the same face capture that is going to me imprinted on visa. But on the passport, the pic that i have is without patch . What i need to do ? 3). At the US Airport, will they force me to remove my head patch to match my face that is there on passport? I called US consulate chennai multiple times, but not able to contact them

We stay at Guindy area. Lot of decent hotels here. For the patch/big , please ask at the biometric centre by showing your passport pic. They’ll be able to guide you best.

Biometric centre pe interviews nahi hota . It’s just for fingerprints collection and then you go to consular for interview

When you’ll reach the interview booths room they’ll ask you if you need a translator and accordingly guide you to the right booth.

It is highly advisable to reach 15 mins early.. it’s alright to reach on time as well. Not sure what happens if you arrive late! Yes you can use locker … they are big enough to keep a small suitcase and laptop

There is a locker facility that you can use to store your luggage.

Hey! I don’t think so… as you need to book both the appointments together and cities show only for that country through whose website you are applying.

Hey, today I saw a video of a travel vlogger wherein he booked his interview slot in Europe, and at the US embassy itself, his biometrics was done on the day of the interview. So I think maybe it's in India only or in a few other countries where we need to book two separate appointments. Just sharing :)

What did you submit at the vac centre? We didn’t have to submit any docs at vac. It was only for biometric.

Depends on how busy the day is.. we got done in 20 minutes as there was no rush at all! Can take an hour as well

As I have booked nothing right now so I just put any random hotel name and address in that feild. Kya maine sai kiya ya hame pehle hotel ko contact karna chaiye and then unka naam address daalna chaiye??
