clearify people: blue b16a wt/hp 2699lbs/170hp (1 occupant @180lbs) = 15.8764lbs per hp black b18c1 2879lbs/178hp (2 occupants@180lbs) = 16.174lbs per hp (technically) black civic needed another 3.35hp to have the same hp/wt ratio. but still pulled ahead. Doing simple math, the blue b16a civic should have won just by power to weight ratio. so no. The b16 wasnt "really" fast for a b16a.

You are rating them at stock hp outputs so you would be wrong. And to be technical. U ignored the fuel levels as gas is like 8lbs a gallon. But when u are comparing slightly minded engines using stock hp numbers. Well then u get crap guesses

B16 has less torque, and they both had the same transmission. If the gsr had the original tranny it’d be a different race.
