27:00 It is in fact an old bug, and they're smoking because they are in fact overheating. The bug is that for whatever reason the engine control AI shuts off when the landing sequence starts and so the "pilots" don't adjust the intercooler levers or turn off the booster pumps. This results in manifold pressure being too high at low altitude and the engines overheating. At any difficulty below max it's cosmetic, on full difficulty it'll cause the engines to burn up and the crew to bail out.

@03:18 it was a long time ago 😄 Yes I remember 3DFX: I had an ATI Rage 3DPro with memory extension plus 2x Voodoo2 in SLI. That was epic on cathodic 17" 😂

The PC controls for this game are just ridiculous. Instead of using the mouse to aim the guns and the spacebar to shoot, they make you use some random key combination like hold "Shift, while pressing the "L" key to go up. You need to have the damn reference sheet right in front of you to play, which I lost 20 years ago.
