Mega love this model. It's a home run from Seiko. Got the black one which was perfect. Thought of getting the green....but the bezel is a bit olive green and different from the dark green dial. This dial is a bit smaller than the previous mm200's which makes it even more closer to the mm300. People saying this isn't worth 1,500 really need to acknowledge the fit and finishing and this Seiko. My watch is running -5 secs per day which is reasonable. Thank you for this review Rob! Love your channel. ✌🏽
@Tyler-sl6vg9 ай бұрын
I have the green one and I would say the bezel is forest green. Did you see it in person? I think the only aspect that doesn't match the dial is the fact that the dial is sunburst - otherwise it seems to match perfectly for me. Black is also gorgeous. I agree with you - great watch. Makes me nervous about whether I am going to fulfill the prophecy and eventually sell my MM300 🤔

How about the bracelet? It feels cheap?
@Tyler-sl6vg9 ай бұрын
@@canem1086 I have 381 - I say definitely no. The end links are sharp and the bracelet is very comfortable. The clasp is a let-down with the diver extension. I almost kept it on because the portion that is not the diver extension is good but I always need to replace these diver extension clasps because they are so long and fold weird in the middle if the watch is worn loose. Thank god Seiko makes it easy to pop any 18mm clasp you have laying around on. Overall though I am very pleased with the bracelet. First Seiko since the SKX009 and Monster where I was not compelled to replace the entire bracelet!

@TheGcbailey11 ай бұрын
As a professional traveling diver that crosses a lot of time zones when guiding trips I do still want a "true" GMT. Totally agree that a timing bezel on a GMT is much more useful, at least for me. I use the two time zone tracking AND still use the timing bezel while diving. The new longines hydroconquest meets all of those specs, but with a hefty price tag.
@flow2tech11 ай бұрын
@TheGcbailey I'm all over that hydroconquest GMT once it releases in 39mm

A power GMT user tracks 4 timezones, I got the Kurono GMT 1 yesterday a true GMT, price tag was too low, relative to what it will go for when it arrives. Not looking to sell but starting at $7k bid I might think about it. For now maybe get yourself this diver GMT until you sort out what you really want.

A superb piece but too bad Seiko decided to skimp on the lume. Even the turtles have better lume.

If you regularly travel outside of your home time zone, you will quickly realize why the caller vs. traveller GMT distinction matters. The independent hour hand of the traveller GMT allows you to adjust to the local time when travelling without having to reset the minute hand. You fly NY to LA - click the hour hand back three places and you're done. It's actually a very useful feature. Far more useful in may opinion than the GMT hand itself. I'd gladly give up a quick set date for an independent hour hand.

Hello. Loved watching. I have a problem with my new SPB383 Seiko watch. Its awesome. I love it. But I don't get 72 hours standing time. I'm lucky if I get 12. I wear it when not in work. It get's put down on my desk at 2:30 am. Then when I come home the watch has stopped. I gave it thirty winds. I then wore it. Isn't that sufficient to give me 72 hours? Thank you in advance for any assistance you can give me.

That is a gorgeous watch, such a focused design. I like the green but does it come with a black dial? Black on black would be awesome. I don’t like this style of GMT (and I do use them) because I can never remember which direction is date and which is GMT.

Hi Rob, I have been following you for years, and I am having a doubt, I don't know whether to buy this watch, or the spb207j1, they are watches with a similar case, change the bezel which in the other one is made of lacquered steel (typical of Seiko) and The GMT function, although this one also has a greater thickness, you have had and reviewed both, what conclusions do you draw? Greetings from Spain and thank you very much for your videos!
@onewatchjustisntenough11 ай бұрын
In July I stopped by Exquisite timepieces and I specifically went to go check out the ice blue dial version of this watch. Although it is a 42 mm watch in my opinion its much closer to a 38. And the reason for that I think is because the bezel is just way too thick. So the dial circumference on its own is very small and thus contributes to the watch wearing so small. I was actually quite disappointed when I put the watch on wrist on so how small that dial really is
@RonaldChapman-jg5xu7 ай бұрын

Took it to AD in my home country, 5 months later it was back from Seiko Service Centre with a replaced movement and it was running fast 2 minutes per hour, I’m done with Seiko…. Overpriced pieces of sh*t they are. Quality control is terrible and the reliability is a joke. It’s a shame because it was not like that in the past. Got a SARB033 and love that thing. *People who want diver GMTs are confused. Just get your SSK and stop trying to justify another Seikopath purchase of incremental difference and substantial wallet damage, you want a real GMT for the money? You should've been there with me yesterday at 11pm JST and picked up that Kurono GMT 1, That is worth the money and a true GMT, by the only government designated master watch maker in Japan. If anyone wants it I'm not really selling so its going to take a lot to get it from me, bids can start at $7000 and even then I might not let it go. Save your $ on this Seiko, it's cool but the 207 is more special, just get a GS Quartz for $1000 more, better quality better function and absolutely a true GMT, you shouldn't be confused by then.*
