12 жыл бұрынNew video from April of 2012 (while in route to Doolittle Raid Reunion) showing recent additons to the tail turret - new N8 gunsight (cleaner glass and sun screen) with emergency flip up sight, Hughes ammo booster motors and feed trays, flexible chute to M2 guns, manual charging handles now installed, and new seals in control unit (leaks stopped!)

There is a light bulb that shines up into a prism then projects on the glass. The bulb has a redundant second filament for increased reliability. Pretty common set up for most WWII era fighter and bomber gunsights. This particular model is a N8-A. Great info on these at the website aircraft-gunsights . com
