Hi everyone, welcome to my channel. Through this video, I hope you learn how to hardwire a dash cam to your favorite cars as well as how to choose the fuses for the hardwiring.

What kind of double sided tape did you use on the headliner?

Like you video! One question tho, how did you place the rear cam? Did you glue it to the interior?

I used high bond tape to secure it on the headliner. I can remove it by using a heat gun afterwards without damaging the headliner. Hope this help.

Hello, I want to thank you for your video it was very helpful. I have a question regarding the power wires connected to the fuse panel. Have you had any issues with the wires being crimped or compromised by the hard plastic fuse box when the fuse panel cover (foot rest) is screwed down?

One more question, how did you connect the wires to the fuses, just wrap some wire on one of the fuse prongs?

There is enough room in the fuse box for the wires. I've not yet encounter this issue.

@@RussellSchubert correct. This is the easiest method for me. Or you can buy some fuse taps for more secure connection.

I wish you would have shown removal of the rear view mirror cover and some other things during install. Also did you use Fuse Tap Cables, was there enough room to use them and putting the cover back on the fuse panel?

Sorry It was hard to remove some of the stuff by one hard when filming. I didn’t use fuse tap but the room space is quite big. It shouldn’t be a problem if you’d like to use fuse tap.

@@carcaretaker7818 thanks. Is there anything to worry about trying to remove the mirror sensor cover or do you just place a tool between the windshield and cover and pry it downwards?

@@jackal2001a using trim tool and pry downwards on each side, you need some force.

@@carcaretaker7818 thanks. I'm going to try to use the same fuses you used, however D8 is empty on my 2023 A5 due to the homelink being moved to the MMI. If power is still being supplied to that empty slot I'll use it, however I'll have to try to find an alternate. I did order some fuse taps, hope they fit.
