"Arḍ ul-Furātayn" (Arabic: أرض الفراتين‎, lit. 'Land of the Euphrates'), also known as the "Land of The Two Rivers" or "Ardulfurataini", was the national anthem of Iraq from 1981 to 2003, during the Ba'athist regime of Saddam Hussein.

Iraq was never really powerful on the i ternatiinal stage, (US tore thru them in less than 3 weeks...twice), but they had a respectable grasp on domestic security.

Honestly, if they removed the Ba'athist last part, this'd is an amazing national anthem that harkens back to the old days of Iraqi glory (Babylon, Salahdin, independence from France etc)

@@Vaniego. We lost the language through the time but sure we know were we came from in the 1911 our ancestors came as refugees from Armenia to iraq until this day we have more than 50 different races in the country languages colors and cultures

Beautiful anthem of real Iraq. Wonderful video. I remember Saddam Hussein alive, I was 14 in 2003 when I loved him yet before American war in Iraq, he was my beloved Hero. Iraqi President martyr Saddam Hussein was last romantic and idealist and my kindred soul and also artist who wrote fabular books and poems, he was victim of American imperialism who gave his life for his country Iraq and compatriot Iraqis. My the biggest dream is that Baath Party returned to Iraq and Saddam Hussein had his monument in Baghdad as once. When MEK will seize power in Iran and Maryam Rajavi will become President, then Baath Party will return to Iraq and Saddam Hussein will have his monument in Baghdad as once and he will be properly buried and he will be a Hero and Iraqis and Iranians will be brothers and friends like should be. My beloved Iraq... ❤🇮🇶 my beloved Saddam Hussein and Iraqis saddamists. Love and support from Poland! Polish-Ukrainian woman from Poland and Polish citizien.

As an Iraqi, I confirm that most people do not know the truth about Saddam’s rule, but invading the country by an oppressor to remove another oppressor is of no use.
