Another difference is that if A IS AUTO and a bumps into b with b push (and not stop or similar) (b can be text) then a pushes b and stops moving. Note that a can start moving under auto after stopping if it is given a new direction and something moves it, as happened in Vehicle 7 Clockwords with the text stopping and then moving under auto when pushed a different direction. Also in clockwords, whilst moving under auto a (if push) can be pushed in a new direction and continue in that direction under auto.

@@esajpsasipes2822 Well that is not what auto does. Also it would be weird for the game to have a property that only does anything when the object it's applied to has another specific property. None of the other properties in the game behave like that. I think it makes sense the way it is.

@@esajpsasipes2822 What I meant is no property in the game requires *the same object* to also have another property in order to work. Shut only does something if there is at least one object that is open, and melt only if there's something that is hot; but it doesn't have to be the same object and most of the time isn't. If you're going to have a property that requires the same object to also have a separate property, might as well merge both properties into one. Anyway here's why your idea of how auto should work doesn't make sense based on how the game works: movement (whether caused by move/nudge/shift/whatever) happens once per turn, so if making "ghost is auto and move" were to cause the ghost to move automatically the same way "level is auto" does, that would have to mean the game passes turns automatically, causing everything else that is move to also move regardless of being auto. Essentially ghost is auto would have to behave the same as level is auto. If it didn't and only caused the ghost to move and anything that is also move to only move when the player performs an action, then it wouldn't be consistent with the way "level is auto" works because it would be treating passing turns in a special way that causes movement-related properties to do nothing on idle turns, except for auto objects, which is not something level is auto does. I understand why you think it would make more sense, but in actuality it would break all the rules of how movement is supposed to work in the game. The way to make auto consistent with "level is auto" for every object wouldn't be to change how it behaves for everything else, it would be to make "level is auto" move the whole level down by one tile once per turn, which would make auto a lot less useful. "Level" is already a special word with a behavior that doesn't match any other nouns for basically any rule you can make with it anyway, so "level is auto" is consistent with that. That is to say, level is the word with a special meaning in that rule, not auto.
