Baba Is You: Plasma's Mods (a really good obscure modpack)

PlasmaFlare has a mega modpack of custom keywords and features, with many interesting new words and puzzles. This video shows:
- Directional Text: in the maingame, there's very few directional pieces of text. This modpack adds it to basically every property, so you can have a PUSH that can only allow pushing to the right, a BOOM that explodes to the left, etc.
- Dynamically Turning Text: this is combined with directional text, a type of text that changes the way it turns depending on how it's facing, determined by what direction it was pushed in previously.
- STABLE: a property that lets you save the current rules of an object
- a teaser for "THIS", which gives the property to the object it's pointing to

This is one of the very first packs I got recommended when I first started my channel, by artman40. It is a great pack but I got roadblocked at an early (imo unfair) level. But I'm glad to be continuing with it.
The other pack I know of that uses Plasma's Mods to a medium size levelpack is Modded Mounds, by 24ayn5_: cdn.discordapp.com/attachment...
Modded Mounds is definitely another levelpack I would enjoy covering and do recommend checking out - but some levels are overcomplicated and cheesable, which is a bit sad, the atmosphere of Modded Mounds is really good (it uses custom sprites/themes/music) and could be one of the best packs with more polish.
Also some of the levels in Modded Mounds have decoration objects, and then hidden text to prevent the decoration objects from being interacted with, and often the hidden text gets exposed in a cheese, which is just a spaghetti thing that really should not ever happen.

The difference at 5:05 i think is that the text goes onto the belt which switches the direction i think

holy crap, that might actually be correct. I never thought this happened because the text has already spent its shift turn going to the right and would've been done with all consequences of shifting

could it also be that the text needs to be pushed to change direction in order to not break interaction with move reverse?

After all the movement logic is resolved, the game runs some code for setting an object's direction based on if they are on a shift object (doesn't actually shift the object). So after the turning swap gets shifted right, it still faces left because it's on the belt.

also the reason that level 0B changes is that when the word "swap" is on top of the belt and is shifted, it turns to the left, and when it goes back, it touches the left-facing belt again, which makes it continue facing to the left

I don't think I ever would have heard of this pack besides a recommendation by artman40 when I very first started my channel - I don't remember anyone else recommending it. although I maybe would have come across it in passing elsewhere, but still

It's not that obscure ngl. It's kinda the biggest modpack there is in Baba besides the "mega modpack" which is just a modpack Plasmaflare made that combines most of the big and known mods. BIY mods are generally obscure though
