Everyone gets confused about the interlude, but it's all about light and dark and is pure artistry. The video is characterised by warm light, calm and calculated precision, everyone playing their part like clockwork. The interlude seeks to bring you back down to earth with the complete antithesis before shooting you back up to the heights of genius.

MJ was just NOT any celebrity or human being this guy discovered his talent at the age of 3 and started working from tender age of 5. He just was on different level of fame after “Off The Wall” Album and no one can reach his level of fame given no worldwide social media platforms or music streaming.

The Jacksons and J5 were huge worldwide superstars before off the wall. They toured Europe, Australia, Mexico, and the US. He was a huge hardworking start from about 11 when the J5 had 4 back to back number 1 hits

The Lean was accomplished by wearing a special pair of shoes Michael designed himself. He got 2 patents on the shoe design. The first one was for the shoes you see him and the other dancers wearing here. He continued to use that shoe to do The Lean on tour. But, during a performance on one of his tours, the shoes failed and he fell forward, so MJ went back to the drawing board and redesigned the shoes to correct whatever part of the shoe structure failed him on that day. I only learned about him having to patents recently. So we can add inventor to resume.

And the shoes can still be bought today! I recently saw a video of someone who bought them and gave tips on how to build the suitable ”floor” kind of thing with the screws in the right place to hook those shoes into. He was a bit afraid to try them out at first, but after some practice, he eventually managed. Even with the shoes, this move still requires a good amount of strength in the legs and abdomen, it looks so effortless, but it’s not that easy 😁

Fun fact: Annie is a CPR dummy. All of them are named “little Annie” and that’s how he came up with this song. he was going through cpr training to become certified and the first thing u do to asses a person needing cpr is ask them if they’re okay. So the dummy’s name is Annie and “Annie are you okay?” Came from that. It takes a fucking genius to be able to come up with this work of art just from a CPR dummy named Annie!

In CPR training classes, a common dummy used is called Resusci Anne, or Rescue Annie. When conducting CPR, trainees are instructed to ask, “Annie, are you OK?” prior to continuing with resuscitation. That’s where that came from

the shot with the coin going in. is probably done in reverse. Oh and to me this is part of the Moonwalker movie, where MJ could make wishes on a shooting star. You would see a part of it if the video started 20 secs earlier.

Michael jackson smooth criminal is by far his best music video in my opinion. I am aware that thriller is his most iconic video but with smooth criminal he took short films to another level. King of pop no one is higher.

Yes, and if you ever decide to watch it, only watch the uncensored version which you literally can’t get your hands on anymore today, all DVD’s and Blu Rays were censored after his death in 2009. Luckily, the complete uncensored and restored to its former glory version can be found on YT, but there’s only one person who published that at the beginning of this year. All other ”full” movie versions on YT are also censored.

The lean was camera work and effects in the video, but by the time he performed it live he had patented the special shoe for on stage.

I think he’s wearing those shoes here and he wore them on his tours until one performance on one tour, when the shoes failed and he fell forward. So he redesigned to shoe to fix that part of it, and he got a patent for those shoes too. So MJ has two patents to his name. I think that’s enough to add “inventor” to his resume. There was nothing he couldn’t do.

Y’all need to watch the spike Lee bad 25 documentary. It’s on apple it’s like $12.99 it’s 2 hours long. It’s this entire album behind the scenes. Y’all will love it! So so worth it to see Michael in his element and get a feel for who he was as a person and how funny he was.

For the Antigravity Leap, he uses shoes with heels and bolts, which are in the 90s. For this clip, he uses Harnes and Ropes that are removed in postproduction. Unreal Production!

This is my favourite MJ track. One of his heroes was the legendary dancer Fred Astaire, and he took inspiration for his outfit and some other elements of this video from Astaire's 1953 musical movie "The Band Wagon". A fan made a tribute YT video with clips of Astaire with the Smooth Criminal song overlaid and it's brilliant.
