Yep. Korean award shows are the very biggest and best I saw. I ONLY watch American award shows if BTS is gonna be on, lol. Hope's energy is top-tier. Watching him perform makes you hot and tired. He puts the same energy into practice. Some artists literally just do a walk-through. While Hope puts on a full performance for practice. Then does more practice if he's not satisfied with the smallest things. I've only watched BTS's past MAMA performances. This was the first time I watched a live show (it was about 4 AM my time). I only wanted to see him perform and BTS win, but I watched 96% of the show. Worth the watch. Hope murdered that stage!

Their live performances are just 🔥 lol literally They bring 10000% that even when they don’t have their BTS brothers, they can command the stage and audience. JHope headlining Lollapalooza was evidence of that.

The U.S. focuses on the "Stardom" of their music award shows...Korea/Asia focuses on the "Music" at their award shows. They know how their rise to fame came to be and that's THE PEOPLE that buy/stream the music. A huge festival type environment is their way of giving back to the fans who gave them their nominatuons. TOTALLY different way of looking at celebrating the musical art industry. I am in the U.S. and will wake up at 3/4 in the morning here to watch their award shows. Here, I do not watch them unless BTS are attending. Here they don't remember who got them their money & fame.

Not sure if you know, but J-Hope will be performing 3 songs at New Year's Rockin' Eve in New York City!!!

MAMA and MMA are two of the top awards shows for music. they go all out and all artist HAVE to perform like rents due. all artists also do an intro where they gotta add story and spice to their songs. I recommend watching this years MAMA you'll find a bunch of new artists to dive into and see some good asf performances.

MAMA and MMA's awards are the reason I can't watch American award shows anymore unless BTS is performing. They really know how to put on shows during their award shows over in South Korea/Japan. You should watch BTS MMA 2019 (Melon Music Awards) performance. The performance was 37 minutes long, it was a mini BTS concert during a freaking award show.

Umm not everyone does it on this level. For a while it was only BTS. Now almost everyone does. At least everyone under the Hybe umbrella does. Edit: It amazes me how only a few of the people they collab with realize how big they are. If you know who they have collabed with and they don't get a second chance or the guys dont talk about them after the fact, these people where problematic on some level.

American Awards show will be never witnessing BTS epic performances! Cause them in the west always had a limited budget and time for the artists n considering the “treatment” they always gave to BTS, I will say yall in the west will never ever receive such legendary performance from BTS unless they changed the perspective and treatment.
