Reginal cricket, divided into multiple zones, allows for a more organized and competitive structure at the grassroots level. Regional associations can facilitate zonal tournaments, ensuring that players from different zones get ample opportunities to showcase their talent. Similarly, City and club cricket, which forms the backbone of domestic cricket, can benefit from regional support through better facilities, coaching, and financial assistance. By empowering zonal, City and club cricket, regional associations can create a robust pipeline of talent that feeds into the national team. This decentralized approach ensures that cricket development is not confined to a few major cities but is spread across the entire country, tapping into the vast pool of talent available.
