An early test video circa 2006 recorded straight to DV camcorder w/ my then new Sony ECM-907 stereo mic: I started out playing another song and it wasn't working so with the camera still going I thought I would rehearse a song I had learned from a friend as a teenager but I didn't know all the words or the full arrangement. The plan was to rehearse it and watch it back to see if it was OK to even try. So with no rehearsal at all I just went into the moment and faked my way through with some fill in lyrics. Played from memory. Also my first time without a flatpick. It is so raw and in the moment I actually liked it better than a more rehearsed and learned version. Later I overdubbed some additional vocal on the ending. "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" is a folk song written by Anne Bredon in the late 1950s. Joan Baez recorded a solo version for her 1962 album Joan Baez in Concert and a variety of musicians subsequently adapted it to a variety of styles, including Led Zeppelin. #all1song #ledzeppelin
