I love seeing a positive representation of a black mother and her daughter. A lot of the time black mothers are shown as aggressive and teeter along the lines of abusive. The mother shown in the video seems to be engaged with her child, loving, kind, patient, and open to having her daughter experience new things. It’s beautiful and I’m really happy to see this

Imo parents should talk to kids like an adult. In this way they learn vocabulary early and become smarter. Nothing wrong with baby talk tho.

Yes! It’s so important not to shorten words or use, “baby talk,” too much around babies. Maybe if you’re trying to excite them but that’s it. Babies absorb the ways a parent talks to them and will try and mimic it.

Le pappe sono quelli che si fanno ai bambini durante lo svezzamento: cereali, avena, ecc. Si chiamano tutte pappe e solitamente si mette il puree di verdure fresche schiacciate e mezzo omogeneizzato. Esempio: crema di riso, patate e coniglio! Poi alcuni genitori ci aggiungono il formaggio ed un cucchiaino di olio, altri no 🐱 ma si chiamano tutte pappe perché sono effettivamente pappette che vanno ingoiate

I am Jamaican and I never got a “mango puree” as a child. Cornmeal porridge yes but mango puree no. I have never seen someone in Jamaica puree a mango. We don’t have the time for that ish. Bout “mango puree” unno stop tell lie pon we yah! Lol.

the italian "pappa" is also made up. "Pappa" is just a cutesy synonym for food that we use with children and that puree is not something Italian kids would eat.
