Video- Baby elephant rescued from a deep pit. Mother stalks and chase after onlookers
Elephants run into a countless number of problems every day around the whole island of Sri Lanka. They fall into farm wells, muddy pits, or get caught on traps set for other animals that raid crops near farming villages. This footage is about two elephants, a baby elephant and a mother who faced a tragedy. The baby elephant was stuck inside a deep pit with no way to get out. Some travelers heard the loud noises and moved to investigate and found the baby elephant stuck inside a pit. They notified the wildlife department to come over and help them with the issue.
