Peregrine Falcons, the fastest animal on earth, are very devoted parents. They ensure every chick ends up in a food coma. Peregrine parents care for their offspring much longer than any other bird species, and long after their young (eyass) have fledged. Both parents are committed and work cooperatively to raise and educate their young. After the eyasses fledge, the parents spend months with them teaching flying and hunting techniques. Peregrine siblings are friendly to each other. They never commit siblicide. And get to hang out as a family for a while longer after they take to the sky

if you're including all of the moms(including animal and human both) remember there are animals who eat their children soon after birth also there are humans who kill their children due to poverty or even sell them..! yes! all Moms are great.!

Poor mother indeed. Its sad that she dont need to worry about the safety and food for her chicks. Its easier for her to take care of her chicks in the wild. She only need to guard them from predators, protect them from rain, hunt prey to feed them and herself, competing with other birds of prey, etc This mother in captivity really earned my respect. Her struggle is real compared to mothers that live in the wild. Hatsoff

We found a nest that had been destroyed on a pump jack. One chick survived. Mom got caught in the gears. Took the baby home. It was brown. We fed it water bugs from the outside well each night. It ate dozens every day. Soon, the color started to change from brown to gray and white. This bird would perch on our entertainment center, above the TV, with the ceramic eagle statues. Motionless. Very cool. Tripped out lots of friends. By the time we had to start feeding it chicken legs, it was flying around the house. At about eleven months, we took it outside. First day it flew around the neighborhood and came right back. Next day it flew to a tree and chilled for hours, and then went hunting. I could tell it's claws were bloody. The third day, it circled our house for about twenty minutes, going higher and higher, catching drift currents. Then it flew away. It squawked loud as hell to tell us it would be fine. Never saw it again. It was a gorgeous hawk. Hope it had a good life. It was twenty years ago.
