I taught preschool for 35 years and then college in the ECD field for another 15. I love moments like this. If I was still teaching, I would use this as an example of what children know about language before they are verbal. They know more than we think.

Actually I’ve got another example of this. My daughter has Down syndrome & when she was a baby, the Early Intervention teacher said Kelly should learn sign language because children with Downs learn language at a slower rate. So our whole family learned it. I took a class & came home & taught what I’d learned to my husband & 2 sons. Kelly is 42 now but she still uses sign if she can say the word. She usually gets her thoughts out one way or another.

And if you keep talking back to them, saying words clearly and asking questions, it eventually turns into a real conversation with real words. I could understand what my kids were saying by the time they were two, we were having a lot of little conversations about what they thought of their little world. I miss those days, figuring out how to communicate with those little aliens 😂❤

@@traviskalmoni I always spoke with my babies and they learned to speak very early. I know many people say I did not speak until half way thru my 3rd year, it could be that no one paid attention to me. I had conversation with people and they thought it was cute that I was always babbling.

Exactly! Some post their babies pouting, arguing, and throwing tantrums. These videos are labeled adorable. I commented they are concerning, and someone posted it was normal. I have worked with children all my life, and I know normal. Praising and encouraging those behaviors, only make them worse.

Ive been a writer for 40 years, and can tell...this child possess a high level of verbal skills snd abilities for her age. The ease, flow and rate of conversation in which she speaks is impressive. ...so sweet indeed, so much he wants to say...and he is making his best efforts to put his thoughts across.... so very adorable....and, grate respect for his dad to not shut him up, but say few words without interrupting him, making kid feel he is being understood, allowing his expressions to come forth....!!

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this!! I was not blessed with grand children, and I love babies of all ages. This video is priceless- the excitement bursting from this tiny body, the voice volume and noises tumbling out of this tiny mouth, and the ultimate is the use of arms and hands. This I could watch all day. Thank you so much!! 🤗❣❣❣❣

My twin grandsons did that too! They will be 16 in July. It feels like it was just yesterday that I held them in my arms. Now when I hug them, I’m under their chin!!! It’s amazing how fast time goes!

It's times like these you sooo wish you could read their minds!! Enjoy because time flies and they can really talk!! Am enjoying my great grandson at 3 now with our talks. He is so smart!! I love every minute with him!!
