Today I am sharing the baby products that I regret buying, the baby products we never ended up using and the baby products you don't need. When you become pregnant there are so many things that people say you need and you really don't need all of them. Learn from my mistakes and don't waste your money :-)
Obviously these are just the products that didn't work for us and our three babies. But all babies and parents are different and they may well work for you guys.
Thank you so much as always for watching and subscribing xxx

I agree with Stacey. I prefer snaps. I hated the zipper ones, its like you almost have to completely undress baby to change a diaper in the middle of the night.

I totally agree. I think nowadays there is so much pressure on parents to buy the 'in things' and people and magazines etc making you think you need all of this stuff when you really don't. 90 percent of this list wasn't around for our parents and they all managed fine and I think we all forget that. Yes we all would like the best for our children but they're just babies! I think I agree with you the most on the clothes...I spent so much money on outfits for my daughter and didn't end up using over half of them as she was just in babygrows for the majority of the time. She was either leaking..or sick on clothes and it's such a waste of money. Congratulations on the subscribers x

I wished someone had told me to not buy: 1- t-shirts (they never stay in place, they roll under the armpits and the baby stomach is always showing) 2- clothes that don't open on the front And I the most important : always use clothes a little bit bigger, they are easier to dress and undress and more comfortable

I actually loved tshirts.. easier to deal with, and I found my chunky son Winnie the poohing with his stomach out to be quite funny when his shirts were getting too small. Also, if you buy a size up, it doesn't really happen.

Hm. It´s about the weather. I used only flip flop onesies (my baby is May born and the weather here is very hot, from May to August about 33°C). T-shirts - I used long sleeved with front opening as a second layer to air conditioned room (shop, restaurant etc.)

I did go all out for my newborn’s clothes and shoes, I was a nanny for a long time and my favorite part of the day was getting the baby ready in cute little outfits that matched! I watched the same little girl for a few years and I never got tired of putting outfits together and doing her hair. When I found out I was having a little girl I already had enough experience to know what kind of a person I am, and that I still think it’s cute to put little soft crib shoes on her even if she doesn’t walk. It’s the same concept as a bow. just there to look cute! Everyone is different though but I did enjoy the cute outfits and shoes a lot!

I COMPLETELY AGREE with the nasal aspirator and baby towels! Everyone I know loves the aspirator but my son hates that more than the bulb because it takes so much longer! People say it's "gentler" but my son doesn't like me cleaning out his nose no matter how I do it so the faster the better. Also, baby towels are not absorbent enough for me. If I could do it over I wouldn't buy any!

I totally agree with some of yours, especially the scratch mitts! I do love wooden toys though rather than plastic (although we have plastic too), and elc and Melissa and dug do some lovely colourful ones. I used to buy loud, light up plastic toys when my Evie was a baby, but noticed that she's entertained for a lot longer with natural, open ended toys. I've also found I buy her less toys as they aren't so age specific. I also didn't put her in proper clothes often for the first 3 months, and she just lived in sleepsuits! I regret buying so many blankets as well - we were given lots and ended up with loads, when Evie has always preferred the sleep bags.

When I was pregnant I didn’t want to have a baby shower because I knew people would get me things I didn’t want nor need, or a bunch of clothes. I ended up having one because family insisted and piled up so much clothes that my son used only a couple times, other clothes he never wore, or items that we never used. I wanted to wait till baby was here and see what they needed as they grew or with each new stage. Awesome video with great tips!

I didn’t want a baby shower at all but my husband talked me into it. I did put in the invitation what I wanted to stay away from and to please include bigger clothes if they wanted to gift clothes, I was soooo surprised at the baby shower when I got a lot of the things from my registry that were practical! I barely received clothes! I got things like bottle sets of my favorite bottles when I was a nanny, a microwave bottle sanitizer, and things of the sort that I had experience with! My husband taught me to politely speak up about what I want/need there was only a couple of people who included things I knew I wouldn’t use, I still thanked them but I know they’re going to eventually be donated.

Same! I just googled all the clothing brands and returned them all to the stores. Mostly because I had a girl and the clothes were hysterically absurd. Like costumes of giant head to toe frills and bows larger than life. After returning everything I had gift cards for things I found I needed as time went on.

Both our babies slept in it until they were 4 months old and we'd have it beside our bed at night and then move it to the living room during the day. Our baby regret was buying a bottle “starter kit.” We spent so much money on it when I was pregnant and when baby came along she decided she didn’t like the bottles we had picked out, complete waste of money! If i were to do it again I’d get as many free bottles as possible and buy the kit after giving birth xx

Becky T totally agree. I got special glass baby bottles before baby was born because of course plastic is the devil (first time mom lolz!) and NEVER used them. They were way too heavy baby wouldn’t touch them and with breastfeeding my baby ended up going straight to a straw cup at 1 year old and we didn’t even use the bottles! And yes I am thankful for plastic now I’m a mama haha.

First time mom here (32 weeks pregnant) and so far I haven’t bought my baby anything. We got some essentials at our baby shower like the car seat, stroller, diapers, clothes etc and other than that we are playing it minimal. We will buy things as we need them. I’m one of six kids and my mom was super minimal too. There’s just so much babies don’t need and the baby supply industry takes advantage of moms desire to give their babies everything! Thanks for this video! ❤️

I totally agree about the nose aspirator - I haven't even had the guts to use it yet! Saline spray all the way! But I loved my washable breastpads! My disposable ones used to move around much more than the washable ones, and the sticky-back ones used to stick to themselves and get all screwed up inside my bra. We must just have different shaped boobs, Em! Hehe!

The nose sucker is the best! Soooo handy when they're stuffed up. And instead of the mesh teether, get the Boon silicone one. Easy to clean, easy for them to hold; it's perfect! Also, instead of the jolly jumper,.you need the jumper with the hard rim around the top.

I love my reusable nursing pads! I purchased those with leak-proof backing, like from Kindred Bravely and some cute patterns off etsy. I keep a small washable mesh bag that I hang off the side of my laundry hamper to keep them together and not lost in there wash.

I totally agree with all your baby regrets! I also regret spending money on a high chair because I can use a booster seat for both on-the-go and at home instead! Finally, a tip to prevent losing small items in your wash is to put them in a mesh bag. I never lose baby socks anymore!

The wipes warmer was the worste purchase I ever made! It gave my (third) baby a cyst on his bum because the warmth is a bacteria feeding ground and I am an extremely clean person so I knew it had to be the wipes because I googled it and tons of other moms experienced the same thing and it was the only thing I had done differently with any of my kids. Such a painful thing for a baby to experience too at soo young. He now has a scar from it too.

I used a warmer for my wipes for MY daughter 28 years ago (no, this is NOT a new product!) and I’ve used it for all 5 of my grandkids. I’ve had NO problems and I can’t imagine using ice cold wipes on MY bum, why would I do that to a tiny baby!? YIKES!

Nuby makes a plastic fruit holders instead of mesh ones. What they really are GREAT for is TEETHING. freezing 4 of them with your babies favorite fruit. Giving that to them back to back or when they have had enough. Also, I make breast milk frozen pops in a large nipples and placing them on bottles. Hot glue holds the cap.

Mine has to be the electric steriliser. I have a small kitchen and it was just massive and took up so much space. Once I found the Tommee Tippee microwave one, I’ve never looked back. I stored it in the microwave so my worktop was free. I took it camping and could use it as a cold water sterilising bucket. Perfect and so much cheaper xx

Wow I totally agree with all the ítems u mentioned!! I felt so identified! I went crazy buying stuff that was worthless after they baby arrived! One thinng i aboslutely regret having chosen ( it was a gift from mother in law)is a hice heavy Chicco stroller with matching car SEAT with lots accessories. So heavy and big that it's Even didnt fit inside our old car trunk and sooo difficult and heavy to fold!! ( 1st baby so forgot to measure). I'm pregnant now again with second child and i'm going to Carry my baby with me in a "fular"(i'm in Argentina) which is an elástic fabric wrap that holds your baby safe with you. , So You can mover around hands free !so, I'm going to sell the heavy stroller and maybe buy a super light easily foldable travel size stroller !!

Emily, I completely agree with not needing to buy newborn baby shoes. I did buy my daughter her first white converse shoes to match me. But I decided to use them as my daughter Charli's first Christmas tree ornament. I just thought it would be a nice touch and I had her wear them in her 5 month Christmas baby photo. So it's nice to get a memory for your Christmas decorations out of it! 😁
