Firstly, we are being educated by a doctor who has been in this profession caring for children for many years and has made it her life’s work to educate the next generation of dentists. Yes, those baby teeth will fall out. But it will be many years in this child’s life before that happens, and it is our goal as dentists to make sure there is no caries progression before natural exfoliation of the teeth. A soft bristled toothbrush does not cause trauma!! All these soft bristles are doing is gently removing bacteria from the mouth which is quite important. This exam is also important because it is the dentist’s first chance to find any sort of pathology that could be present and intervene early while there is still time. It allows the dentist to meet and get to know the child so that they may be a mainstay in the child’s life and development. This examination and cleaning is beneficial for patient and parent, and you are completely incorrect with this comment. Please be mindful of this in the future when commenting on videos that have been prepared by people who genuinely care about the lives of their patients!
