A monkey cannot and should not be a pet. They are taken for training because they need to make videos about this that you watch and admire, but they do not become members of the family from this. This is equipment for filming videos.

She was poached when she was a few days old. She doesn't know how to act like a monkey. She didn't have a mother to teach her. Of course she acts like a child. That's the way she was treated. Until of course she gets thrown back into the forest

Venicio, I completely agree with you. I also don't see anything wrong with them making money. These people are helping these little monkies - that's all that matters. Also, "volunteers" in sanctuary usually are paid in some way. Some are college students in animal science courses, vet students, etc. Getting hands on experience. Others have online accounts people contribute money to. So, it all looks good to me. 💘

How is poaching them from they natural habitat exploiting and abusing them for money helping them ? They use these poor animals for a couple of months when they to big dump them back to be killed because they are domesticated and don’t know monkey rules or hierarchy then the poor things scream & sceech all day and night cause they scared to death & they get killed by older male monkeys how is that helping them. If making money includes animal abuse and murder of innocent animals they need to find another job.

They need to get jobs and leave the monkeys alone

I’m pretty sure they were gesturing at it or spraying something at that other monkey when it was making all those faces. They want a clear stage so they can focus on Shakira and make her even crazier.

Kidnappings may be caused by boredom, spite, to teach the mother respect, to properly raise (discipline) an annoying lower-ranked baby, to kill off a baby that's putting the troop at risk by constantly making noise, to teach all the other mothers respect, because they recently lost a child of their own or because they want more prestige from having the largest family. In macaque society, somebody wandering off with your baby to look after it for a few hours isn't always a good thing. If a higher-ranking troopmate takes your baby or intercepts it before it's returned, you have to sit quietly, be patient, be submissive, don't upset anyone and hope to god you get it back alive, or at all.

Kidnappers will also brutally bite and beat the baby to deter escape attempts if it tries (and sometimes if it doesn't)

Once complete they’re driven into the forest and released to find a new troop and integrate with it or die. The monkeys that aren’t killed during the integration process do fine. So will she.

NO This is so cruel that you keep picking her up for selfish reasons. Every real wildlife rehabilitators # 1 rule for the animal to be safe and happy and successful is NEVER let them develop a bond with you as the human. Keep trying to help the animal develop bonds with other animals in their environment if they are not getting there on their own, but do not EVER allow affection and attention between human and animal other than limited emergency medical care. This is really cruel and anyone who is not educated on this, take my word or go do your own research.
