Growing up without fathers is possible but mentally it's exhausting... I was a teen who felt these emotions years back, I had to be strong on places where i wanted to be a kid... I'm grateful for the current life at the same time I'm always wondering what life could hv been if i had a proper father figure when i was a teen... mental regrets, mental exhaustion and longing for a dad will always come after us... I feel sorry for Zen!! Hope he find peace and balance in life...!!! One thing for sure one day when he want to create a family it will be harder for him!! Baby Zen, Stay blessed...!!!

I hope this is not scripted. But it’s too difficult and cheap to coach someone this young. But even if it’s not scripted, it’s still heartbreaking. But every family is unique , who are we to judge. I am sure his mom and grandparents love him more than many traditional families.

god, sangmin lived the craziest life. he rose SO high but dropped rock bottom. i understand why he wanted to spend so much money and live a glorious life before but then life wasn’t kind to him and took it back all over. good thing he’s standing back up again now.

I think it's Zen's mom that resists. A few years ago, when Sang Min went with Sayauri to visit her parents. They expressed they would like Sang Min as a son in law but because of the debt he still owed, he couldn't really express his feelings. It also seemed Sayuri was not interested in him at all in a romantic way. Sigh!

She decided on this procedure very carefully because this was her last chance to have a baby due to her age and health of her reproductive system. She thought it through long and hard even consulting her parents. She didn't have a boyfriend at the time either nor did she want to rush into a fast marriage just to have a child. This was what her doctors recommended to her as the best choice to give birth. She mentioned this during interviews while she was pregnant. It was literally her best and only option at the time.

you have to understand that just because this is a show doesnt mean that this man will volunteer to father a child that isnt his. And Sayuri may not want that. Its all messed up but i blame the mother and sperm banks allowing single people to conceive.selfishness at its finest and the one who has to suffer the rest of their life is the baby

​​@@lilmamagc???? First of all, ur right about it not being Sang Mins responsibility and just cuz a child called someone dad, doesn't mean he's the chosen one or anything. But most importantly, it's completely fine to let single people who have the funds and will to go raise a child, do so. It's not selfish and people can do whatever the hell they want because you can obviously see Zen is cared for and loved. It's not messed up at all.

All i got from my "dad" was a memory of him lying on the couch dead asleep when he was supposed to be watching us when we were just mear toddlers. Then he up and left with another woman. He could really just be a sperm donor. Honestly glad I grew up with my mom, and she's still not remarried. I'm grown now and engaged. My father figures came from my uncles. You don't need a dad if they're dead beats. 🤷‍♀️

You can’t just decide what a family should be like based on your own experience and others because they are all different and valid, Sayuri made her choice for her family, if she had waited maybe it would have happened or not, but she chose this for her and she will do right by Zen as many loving single parents do especially because she wanted him so bad, unlike some parents who don’t care about the kids they have.. She’ll also find a partner if she wants someday but she’s trying at least, unlike some parents like I said. By introducing potential male exemples to Zen whom he can take as exemple of « father figures » and not hiding things from him. He’s growing up fine honestly.

@@theonly7515having a father doesn’t mean your home life is stable. I had a father. Stability is not a word I’d use to describe my childhood. She’s caring and loving for her child. To be perfectly honest, that’s the most important thing. Plenty of people get divorced or widowed and they end up raising their kids alone and you wouldn’t suggest their kids will not be cared for. Just because she made a choice that you disagree with, doesn’t mean it’s a bad choice.

A minor percentage of these men are crazy manipulators and can fool all those around them but most women that end up done wrong by the other men that don't show up or betrayed them tend to be blinded by love, unfortunately. Or they didn't have a father themselves to show them how to respect themselves where men are involved. I've heard so many women talking about changing a man and going for "bad boys" because the nice ones are boring. Or they continue to make excuses for bad behaviour and wicked men prey on that. The solution isn't to revoke a child's right to having a father, these women are selfish and even if their children don't grow up to resent them, they will be negatively affected by their mother's decision to do what zen's mother has done. You can compare natural events that take good fathers away from their children to the selfish desires of certain women. Every parenthood statistic will show you that children without father's already begin life on hard mode and that continues into their adult life. Young girls have to mature many years than those that have fathers which will explain the "strong black woman" trope. Not to mention the staggering 76% of young people and 43% of inmates in custody that are without the presence of a father
