I was a teenager in the 90s. I graduated high school in 1994. I love this show.

90s shows were so pure. Now we have school shootings rainbow fentanyl crazy identity crises etc etc. I feel sad for my kids to have missed this kind of purity. And it wasn't just for show. You could really live a fun happy life back then

MANNN.. i was like 7 when this came out.. I'm 37 now, i think this show kick started the idea in my head of wanting to do something in music. Which I did for like 15yrs..also unlocked memories of watching as a kid in my living room when both my parents were alive. Crazy to think how fast time Flys.

Just look at the expression sly gives when tiffany, tony, or jenny mention to sly that school starts on monday. He he. He isn't happy at all that summer vacation has ended. he he.

I loved the original cast of california dreams. Brent Gore(Matt) was good looking, Michael Cade(Sly) was full of energy, William James Jones(Tony) was smooth and knew how to talk to the ladies, Heidi Lenhart(Jenny) was very sophisticated, and Kelly packard(tiffany) was bubbly, cheerful, smiley, and wise in her own way and maybe sometimes simple and childlike. These five characters definitely had a lot of chemistry with each other. And I bet that they are life time friends in real life as well.

Being an Asian teenager I didn’t do many of the things like a typical American teenager did so watching these kinds of shows was my thing in those days

Even though I like the last 3 seasons with Tiffany, Tony, Sam, Jake, Mark, Lorena and Sly were THE Best, IMO Season 1 had some great moments and the part where Tiff & Jenny teasing Tony about being scared for being his ears pierced was SO hilarious and I also enjoyed the Tony Wicks Pyramid of Feelings Him on the top, Denzel Washington and Michael Jordan in the 2nd column, Arnold & Stallone in the middle, Chicken Little & Urkel in the 4th column and Tiff & Jenny being Fradiy Cats was SO funny

I found an old scrap book from when I was young maybe 8-10 years old. It had pictures of this cast from Bop magazine in it, now here I am 38 at 6am feeling nostalgic. I didn’t recognize back then that this was essentially saved by the bell down to the set but more high fives lol. I’m going to binge watch as many as I can find.

Angela looks soooo school teacherish with those thick eye glasses. i am sure if she was a teacher and had students, she'd probably be one of those teachers that gave way too much homework, hard tests and quizzes, and was a stickler for rules. students would probably crib and complain about her if she was a teacher

The original characters of california dreams, of the band, matt, jenny, tony, tiffany, and sly were great because all of them except sly really sang. As the seasons moved on, matt, tiffany, sam, jake, tony and sly were great characters because again all of the characters except sly really sang. After matt left in I think season three, they replaced him with the character of mark winkle, sly's cousin played by aaron jackson. This character did not sing at all . And also, in season three, lorena,( diana uribe) a new female character was introduced after the garrisons moved away because the band needed a place to practice and sam needed a place to stay. They should have kept matt and jenny or at least brought them back for the final episode of california dreams

Angela is a better person than Matt. He doesn't consider dating her when she likes him because she's clumsy and wears glasses despite the fact that she's drop dead gorgeous (proving how shallow he is...and yeah I think I might have a crush...). Then, when he does go out with her later in an attempt to influence her, his attempts at complimenting her are very lefthanded yet she understands what he wants to say. But--she was more beautiful wearing glasses instead of when Matt becomes aware that she is--when she isn't. And of course he intends to dismiss her assuming they have nothing in common, not intending to give her a chance. Only when he starts to discover the things they do have in common does he give her a chance. Then--because he starts feeling guilty-he does the "right thing" and fesses up and of course she's hurt because of his having been a jackass. But she doesn't hold it against him and fairly votes for what she honestly considers the best band. Then he tries making it up to her, she forgives him and gives him another chance. Throughout she does nothing wrong and her behavior is commendable. She never even lashes out at him or takes a shot at him when she has the opportunity--when in front of the microphone. I wish, instead of following convention, the writer(s) had had her reject Matt at the end after she voted for California Dreams, with Matt realizing how good a person she was and exactly what he'd done and what he'd lost. I think that would've been a better--and much more powerful--ending.
