On Pandora, I listened to the two part interview with Questlove and Babyface. The story of how he came up with Tender Roni was my favorite! He wrote that song in 1982....that song is a year younger than myself!

It is QUITE debatable. R Kelly, despite his personal flaws, is the artist mostly referred to as The King of R&B and has a massive catalogue of hits as well. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis have a very strong list of songwriting and production credits as well.......

But you didn't even mention Smokie Robinson, Steve wonder, Berry Gordon, Norman Whitfield, Quincy Jones and Nick Ashford and Valerie....but Babyface was the king of songwriters for decades maybe 25 years.... R Kelly had a good 10 year run if it was that long.. He fell off....look up babyface's catalog and I am sure the debate will end quickly....

Had the pleasure of attending concert where the funky diva's opened, uncle charlie was middle man(1 hr turned into 1.75 for uncle)) and face closed out with his brother Kevon. Babyface had written for all of them. Face was holding the Guiness World record #1 songs. 5 hours Nobody left early. Ya'll I was so damn tired from singing , dancing and crying but didn't know it until I slept thru the whole next day. My momma always told me honey build your memories...this was one of the biggest.

Hear me out before you dislike... Everybody says Babyface is King of R&B and a Musical Genius. Cmon Keep it real... Bobby Brown: King of R&B, Prince: Musical Genius, Babyface is the Musical God of R&B. Without Babyface's 7 Days (his writing career as well as his own albums), we wouldn't have the successful R&B we know today. BABYFACE IS THE MUSICAL GOD OF R&B change my mind I dare you.

If I ever get the pleasure of meeting Babyface, he’s getting the longest hug of a lifetime and a big kiss 💋 His songwriting is some of the only songs that makes me feel & want to be in love! So many emotions and memories tied to these songs. My career is in black radio so I know of all these songs. His song catalog is phenomenal

I was at this concert while visiting Texas. First time seeing babyface in concert. He did his thing I stood up the whole time singing and dancing. Brandy was great also
