He's right about most people having a daily satire limit. I can remember as a 12 year old loving MAD Magazine and reading it from give to cover... For about 8 months. Then, an the jokes were, if not expected, unsurprising. Like Scary Movie 4,5,6, and 7.

The Family Motto when I was growing up: Leave 'em laffin and keep 'em guessin'. Truth. We'd be leaving, and a parent would say drive safely, and what ? "We know" and in unison we'd say it and still do 50 years later. Successful, great families, active and involved in our communities, we leave 'em laffin...there is great meaning in those words, think about it.

I ❤️ the 🐝! Good interview. The part about acting as a consultant to a church pastor seems weird, so I wasn't sure if you're serious about that. If the pastor just wants butts in the seats to tithe, that's a huge turnoff. We get sold to all the time in this society. We're called "_consumers_" after all, or "mouths." If we're being treated as consumers of religion, then we'll evaluate based on product loyalty and preferences, and we'll resist hard sales. But if the faithful just speak the truth, then those whose ears are open will hear. It's not a sale.

AS a seventh day adventist- I once heard an sda preacher give this one- gabriel is showing a group of jews, baptists & methodists around heaven- when they come up on an area with high walls around it- they could hear singing of hymns inside. gabriel cautioned them to please keep quiet while they were near this area. someone enquires as to why... gabriel says: those are the sda's- they think they're the only ones here. SHHHH!

PBD please stop doing something else while interviewing people. Pay somebody minimum wage to research whatever you are looking on your phone or tablet or just don’t do it because besides to be unprofessional and disrespectful turns off the guest and honestly the audience too.

Pat. Just a comment on marketing for young people in church: Involvement, service and creating discipleship. Thinking outside the box. One church I went to had a prayer circle after the service. Praying for people they knew, themselves or world situations. Many people, young and old have a deep need to be heard and also to give back. (Just some thoughts.. love your podcasts!!)
