I am Italian and I don't understand a word of German, but I followed the first two series two years ago, dubbed in Italian and I found them fantastic. The third series has started for a week and maybe it's too early to make judgments, but I believe that this time too it won't disappoint me. What I appreciate, in addition to the skill of the actors, is the atmosphere, the dialogues and the perfect historical reconstruction of a crucial period for Germany. A truly high quality product.

Series 3 is just as brilliant as 1 and 2. BB is the first-ever TV series or movie seen in the English-speaking world to capture authentically the very complex social breakdown and fractured extreme politics of late Weimar Germany. We often get the rise of the Na zis and anti Semi tism but we never get the monarchists, the militarists, the different communist factions and the democrats - here we get them ALL in a highly entertaining and exciting crime drama. The monumental scale of the production, the sweep of period, the art direction, the music, and the use of authentic Babelsberg film techniques of the time are breathtaking. And on top of that we have superb writing and a golden cast of exceptional talent led by these two - whom we all love. Bravo Babylon Berlin. Hurry up with Series 4!!!

Season 3 is pretty amazing, the 11 episode is pure magic. Dub or no Dub this is one of the best shows of the last 30 years. I wish Netflix would better advertise some of their shows. I only hope that the narrative of the show covers the years during and after world war 2.

I had made a note to watch when it was first released on Netflix (in US), but didn’t get to it until the pandemic. It required a lot of my concentration and I’ll confess I watched it a second time from start to finish out of obsession and scouring for any plot points I might have missed. Caution to English-as-primary-language viewers: opt for spoken German w/ English subtitles. The English-dubbed version is awful. Exploring a point in history that films have largely ignored, you get lavish sets, costuming detail and cinematography that puts everything else to shame. Further, not enough is said about the music and the performances - they are flawless. I can’t praise this show highly enough. Liv Lisa and Volker have my permanent affection and admiration. Acting⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Story ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Production ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Couldn't understand a word of the interview, but absolutely love this magnificent series. Everything about it is great; the acting, the casting, the story lines and the recreated atmosphere of the time. I just wish that German film makers would turn their attention to the Philip Kerr novels which feature Detective Bernie Gunter, I'm sure it would be magnificent.

I learned to love the show even my eyes are slow to grasp the written English translation at the same time watching their great acting..

Eine großartige Serie im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes, die Lob verdient, aber nicht ohne Beobachtungen, von denen die wichtigste darin besteht, den wahren Grund für den Fluch der Nazis vor den Juden zu verbergen.

Serie stupenda dalla n.1 alla 3. Vorrei poter capire i dialoghi dei personaggi nelle interviste , ma comunque la mia stima resta invariata anche se non comprendo il parlato! Non vedo l'ora di vedere il proseguo con la 4 serie. L'ambientazione , la musica, i rumori di fondo, le sceneggiature, la fotografia, quei profumi di un'altra epoca ti fiondano direttamente nelle scene , senza mai farti stancare o annoiare. Solitamente non ho molta curiosità con i film tedeschi , ma neanche con quelli italiani a parte Gomorra che secondo me è un capolavoro , ma stavolta i registi di questa serie mi hanno stupito e non di poco. Per non parlare delle musiche , mai banali e azzeccatissime, un plauso sicuramente ai woods of Birnam per le perle come Du bist alles.

V: At the dress rehearsal, I really had problems with getting dressed with this clothes, because the first two seasons had existed already and I also knew Rath, me as a spectator. V: Clothing absolutely not, because all these suits… so I mean I love them, they’re fantastic, but I would never walk around with them privately… R: Except in Los Angeles! V: Yes exactly, except when you have to wear them! No, this is… But there is actually also a lamp, that one in the homicide division. I have enjoyed this series as how the German revolutions ended up affecting the entire world at this time. It was a complex and very transitional time that in the end caused the entire world problems. Can this be changed in future? What could we have done different/better? These are the questions that we shoud be concentrated on for the future.....all my "humble opinion"

Great series. Hard to read the subtitles and concentrate on a lot of the acting which is superb. German is hard and complicated. I have to watch each segment twice.
