Great reaction. This hits so hard when they play it live - and they played it live throughout the Europe & UK tour in February and March. It seems there is no vocal style Su-metal can't just do. You are right - Su-metal is somewhere between 5'1" and 5'2", Moametal is just a shade over 5' tall. On stage they are at least twice that of course.

⚡ 💕 / 🕶️ 🎤 🍗 To be fair, although they were 11 and 12 when they started BABYMETAL, they were more like 14 and 16 before they started touring the world. : ) Although the first two albums have some of my favorite BABYMETAL songs, Su's range on the 'Metal Galaxy' album is stunning. Every song is different, and IMO, she nails all of them.

Su looks tall, even when you are standing right before her on stage, but that‘s mostly due to her slim figure and simply because many others around her are even shorter. Perhaps her huge stage presence plays a role as well. But she‘s actually barely 5‘2“. The first time I saw them perform this song live, I was blown away by how „legit“ Su represented the badass music. A 250 pound tattooed black rapper guy couldn‘t have looked more fitting than she did (sorry for the stereotype). There are actually not that many official BABYMETAL videos that are not just made from live footage. I don‘t remember which of them you have seen already, „Megitsune“ is pretty essential.

Su-metal's listed "program" height & weight: 5'2", 95 lbs. Not sure how accurate that is; however, past & current press media employed by colleges & professional sports teams are often guilty of "padding" such stats concerning athletes that are affiliated with said colleges, etc., as an attempt to affirm bigger is better (& scarier), sometimes for the purpose to impress or intimidate opponents. Whether Su-metal is smaller or larger than "listed", I think we all agree she is "just right" & a dynamic powerhouse at any size. Arigatou! 🦊🤘

LVT would tower over both of Babymetal. From all the pictures I've seen, the only person shorter than Su was Billie Eilish, and Moa is always the smallest. Other than Glenn Danzig of course, haha!

The girls only recently maxed out at 5' 0" and 5' 1" now that they're fully grown. Definitely under 100 pounds. I can't even imagine how tiny they were before. I saw them in NYC and they looked incredibly small on stage, just twenty feet away from me.

Thank you for reaction of course. :-) Su-metal is amazing live for this song, a lot of fans when listening to the album version (the one in the MV obviously) had a worried feeling because their was a bunch of effects on her voice, but she kills it live by doing most of it without any effects. Babymetal has definitely used the brutal lettering before. They have 4 primary t-shirt designers, and thus 4 styles. Before babymetal for some all their regular customers are just death metal bands etc. And when the designers were asked to do Babymetal, they were like: "Babymetal ? What's that ? Are you serious ? Are you sure you are asking the right person, do you know what my portfolio looks like ? After a couple of days of head scratching: I guess I'll give it try if you want me to." and after that they became regulars. Even if still some what confused at first how to do Babymetal shirts. :-) When going to a Babymetal show I just say: "one of each design please in my size" (they regularly have a limit on the number you can buy at shows). The only problem: they sell out to many shirts so a lot of designs are just for a tour, etc. When it's sold out, it never comes back. Get them while you can (or buy them overpriced on an auction site, overprices because of demand).

I love that the metal scene at large has embraced this group. It gets people out of their comfort zone, opens you up to some very interesting things in the music world. Su-metal has become quite the frontwoman but I guess fronting a band for a solid decade by the time your 22 does that.

Usually when someone tries to rap that hasnt spent a lot of time practicing...they sound really cringe. So for Su to literally go from never rapping to doing an entire song and not just pulling it off but sounding good is crazy....and its one thing to do it in the studio but she does it live just as good.
