I'm really glad you liked this, it is their most viewed video because of the WTF reactions it gets, but it can go either way and quite a few people have only ever seen this (or part of it) and never gave them another look .... and I'm pretty sure that it was not among the many excellent recommendations and suggestions you got in the comments under your previous reactions. You are right, you don't need to understand the language to enjoy the song - and if they want you to feel any emotion they can still do that to you. If you are still curious, they just want chocolate,🍫 but they're a bit worried about their weight. But chocolate🍫 - it would be so nice and they would be so happy, so can they just have a piece please?🍫 This is the official video, so although it was filmed at the live show in December 2013, the audio from the studio is dubbed over the live footage. Shame as the live audio was even better ... 3 songs in now and you are yet to hear them live. Also if you see the band wearing skeleton suits (as they were here) they were called Babybones and they were waving guitars and drumsticks round to pre-recorded instrumentals. Early in their career BABYMETAL did not have the funding for a live band - they had to prove themselves to earn that funding. The live band (the Kami Band) first appeared in October 2012 and over the next 18 months or so they were phased in playing a couple of festivals and the encores in some shows. This concert was the last time they played only the encores - they came on for the last 5 songs of this show. At the next big shows (Budokan Red and Black Nights at the start of March 2014) the Kami Band played both shows in their entirety and became the full time support for all live shows from then on. They never went on tour with Rob Zombie - they played at the same festival and he enjoyed their performance and took a photo with them - then defended them against some of the more ignorant of his own fans. They did tour with (among others) Korn and Stone Sour, Guns n Roses, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, opened for Metallica (at their request as they are also fans) and most recently they toured Europe with Sabaton and co-headlined a tour in the USA and Canada with Dethklok. For another reaction how about their very first time in the UK and their first major event outside of Japan at Sonisphere 2014 as unknowns (apart from some people had seen this 'Gimme Chocolate' video and many had wrongly dismissed them as a gimmick). They had 25 minutes, just 5 songs, to win over 50,000+ potentially hostile UK metalheads. Check the last song of the set and listen out at the end to what the crowd were shouting as they walked off stage. The song is 'Ijime, Dame Zettai' (you can call it IDZ, it means Bullying No More For Ever) live at Sonisphere 2014.

Nice reaction, thanks! "Gimme Chocolate" is "just" a fun song about the girls wanting to eat chocolate but being a little worried worried about their weight. But, yeah those instrumentals are very, very metal and the juxtaposition with the cute vocals, lyrics and choreo was totally the point of the song and the reason why this music video went viral back in 2014. Helping them a lot tbh. It's their most "popular" song but probably not their best one. Here is something more... serious (musically and lyrically), being an anti-bullying song. Nice! While both Gimme Chocolate and your last reaction, Pa Pa Ya!! are great songs, they are Baymetal’s most “commercial” sounding tracks.
