Headbanger was the first song of theirs I heard, and still my favorite. When they first starting performing this song, during the creepy music part they would open a coffin and Su, the lead singer, would step out. This is a great performance. The crowd is very responsive, and you see that across the world. They know how to hype the audience.

Great reaction. Legend 1997 was the title of the show, it was the day after the lead singer's 16th birthday in December 2013. She is Su-metal. The two younger girls, Yuimetal and Moametal, were 14. At this point they still hadn't even released their first album. There were about 9,000 people at this show and you saw the control they had over every person there ... they are all about crowd interaction, they energise the crowd then feed off that energy and give it back multiplied many times over and they keep this up from the first minute to the last in every show they do regardless of the size of the venue. You have nearly 50 songs to choose from now and every one of them is different. Live performances is where they're at their best, just avoid compilation videos if you have a choice between that or a full live one.

Live Babymetal is the best Babymetal. The crowds are completely under the control of the girls, especially the lead singer Su-metal. She just has to gesture and they obey without question. If she want a circle pit, she twirls her finger and the crowd does it. If she wants a wall of death, she spreads her arms and they do it. The other two girls, Moametal and Yuimetal, are as much cheerleaders as they are dancers, and they get the crowd going every time. Keep in mind that the group was together a mere three years when this concert took place, and were only between the ages of 14 and 16 years old. I'd recommend the song Rondo of Nightmare (with the Mischiefs of God into) for an upcoming reaction. It's a song that features the lead singer performing solo, and has an incredible instrumental intro by the Kami Band.

Their energy is amazing. The venue is Makuhari Messe in Chiba prefecture, Japan in 2013. So I think the audience might be about 10,000. The lyrics sing the youth period of gals chasing Japanese visual kei bands. Visual kei became popular in Japan around the 90's. The gals were called "Bangals (バンギャル)" because they headbanged with long hair(It's a little old word, lol.). But they are not groupies. The lyrics include 18 ticket(discount train ticket), 15 years old one nights, and other sweet and sad words. The part of "bang, bang, banbang" is taken from the old Japanese anime song, Secret Squad Gorenger, or Great Mazinger (My childhood). So this song is cool but a little bit comical. BABYMETAL is a little comical, but that is it, cool, isn't it? I love this song. Your reaction is great.

Secret Squad Gorenger is not anime, is a hero TV series of live action like Power Rangers. And its ending song in the early period. Great Mazinger is a opening song. Btw, I am not Otaku. From Japan.

Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。In your video, you heard the crowd shout some words at 05:52. The words are "ki-e-ro 消えろ!" meaning "get out of here!". This shout comes out wherever BABYMETAL goes on this planet and whenever Su-Metal directs her mic towards audiences. You witnessed their crowd control in 2018 (Distortion) the other day and that in 2013 (Headbanger) today. How about that in 2016? You can find a official video with keywords " "BABYMETAL-KARATE (live UK Download 2016)"

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🤘 Even though that looked like the finale, it was followed by two more songs. It was part of a five song encore with the live Kami Band. Kami Band members for this concert ('Legend 1997') were the great Mikio Fujioka (RIP) and Leda Cygnus on guitars. BOH was on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums I was thrilled when they brought 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!' back during the 2019 tour. Was finally able to see it live at the LA Forum concert. 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!' was one of their early hits. Even though the song is about a fifteen year old girl attending her first heavy concert, Su was only fourteen when the single and music video were released. It's not biographical, but it is a song she could relate to. At that age she was on stage, rather than attending concerts. : )

Nice, welcome to the Babymetal foxhole. Your's is the first WTF scream that I've heard. Reactors are usually surprised by the girls' ages and then that's compounded when they see that they have the confidence to control a stadium crowd and the talent to dance and sing in such an entertaining way. Then they also realize that the backing Kami Band are incredibly talented and that they are watching a full on theatrical production and really enjoying themselves. Babymetal's super power is to make people smile. This concert, Legend 1997, was in late 2013 and is a celebration of the lead singer Su-metal as she was born in 1997. She is only just 16 and Yui and Moa are 14 years old. This song is a bittersweet coming of age story about a 15 year old school girl going to a concert and braving the mosh pit, while knowing the freedom of the moment won't last long. It's used to celebrate BM birthdays and both Yui and Moa have taken the lead in it for their birthdays. The song probably resonated with Su because this concert was the day after her 16th birthday and she had also recently graduated from high school in real life and the idol group "Sakura Gakuin", Yui and Moa were both still members, and started working full time with Babymetal. In Legend 1997 the energy of "Headbanger" is followed by the emotion of "Unfinished Akatsuki" and the insanity of "Babymetal DEATH" and together they tell a story about growing up and accepting sacrifice and change. "Babymetal DEATH" can be shocking to some Western people as it uses Christian iconography, but the Japanese are a lot less dogmatic when it comes to religion. So check out those songs and you will probably also like "Road of Resistance" if you like energy.

Great reaction with some performances amuse has a tendency to block the videos, however there’s a channel called BABYMETAL reactors resource channel on there there are epic performances the videos have a watermarked logo over them but in their descriptions are the videos without so that you can display the videos with the logo and watch them without. I saw people already requested road of resistance and that gets blocked a hell of a lot but that is on the channel with the logo so that it doesn’t get blocked.

One of my top BabyMetal songs, so powerful and really showcases talent of the band and the girls! And hail to Queen Su and the baddest death stare on earth!! @@outwest1014 they are with the same company so it's possible. But Babymetal has both it's own lighting and audio person. Obviously they get a lot of other people involved for bigger shows.

There is a dubstep version of this song which (as far as I know) they only performed once at Legend 1997. I'm not really a dubstep guy but that performance is even more insane than what you watched today. You should really check it out...

Hello and greetings from Germany! That was a very good time I had with you and your video! You kind of reminded me of myself when I was first watching BABYMETAL videos. I already liked metal, but these girl showed me how to have fun as well as enjoying the music. Welcome to the foxhole and "The One" which is what BABYMETAL calls their fans! I would really like to see more videos of you reacting to them and everything around them, since you seem to have the same joy when watching them. Also take the suggestions of the fans, they really know their stuff and always have great information! Also for the future, you might need to use some videos where there is a logo on top of the video since the Japanese turn out to be very strict with copyright. I'm sure the fans will fill you in on it, if not, I'm gonna do it myself, since I want to see more of your videos on them. We will get to know you better and I'm all here for it! Always great to see a nice person like you getting to know things I Iike as well. If you have any questions on BABYMETAL or something else, feel free to ask! All that and it's song about a 15 year old girl going to her first rock concert. Now imagine if that was the first show you eveer went to. who could top that? Ans: only Babymetal. Enjoy the ride through the Babymetal galaxy. They are a ride with ups, downs, circle pits and screams at the tops of your lungs. lol That doesn't even include their Kawaii factor.
